Decide who wins!

Who should claim the spirit forge masters inheritance?

Note whoever is picked won't join Ashlock's gang on Red Vine Peak. They will go back with the Redclaws and stay at the White Stone Palace. However, they may eventually end up moving into a specially-made forge in the mountain or something.

Let me give a run down of the candidates:

The Grand Elder: Already in the Star Core Realm. Realistically most likely to conquer the inheritance as he is the one who has contemplated the mysteries of the universe the longest.

Elder Mo: A man who has experienced a second wind in life due to Ashlock and is a big fan of the Ashfallen Sect. Currently in the 9th stage of the Soul Fire Realm and has the chance of ascending to the Star Core Realm within the pocket realm.

Amber: Young Genius of the Redclaws. Somewhere in the mid stages of the Soul Fire Realm with a lot of future potential. Feels inferior to Stella and Diana due to her slower growth.

Currently, my personal choice would be Elder Mo... but I shall let my Patreons decide! Also, feel free to discuss in the comments. The result of this poll will not determine the winner, as I will also take your comments into consideration.

The Grand Elder is an old warrior tempered by centuries of war who still has that fire of battle burning brightly within him even after all these years of relative peace. He needs to be out there kicking ass and taking once he has his breakthrough into the star realm, not puttering around a smithy. He should be out there leading his people and swinging rather than making swords. I voted for Mo since he seemed the fittest for the role, but Amber could have worked as a young firey "genius" finally finding her true passion in this new craft.

Great idea for the combination of spirit soul forging with the metal qi.

And an inferiority complex doesn't really translate well to having great willpower when compared to Mo's.

I was not for the grand elder because I think it would actually harm him. He is a leader and the main combat force of his group. Him suddenly spending his time sitting around crafting would be a big blow. Sure a crafter would be more valuable. but when other people can take that up the choice is clearly not going to be the one in an important position. There is also the fact the beastwave is not far away and the crafting advantage is more long term. that is not a lot of time for crafting where as leadership and combat force is very important. Besides if he is not suited to be a crafter than it will hurt him. sure it is great for him now but like. that is only because it is from a higher cultivation expert.

I was leaning towards Amber, because having a potential rival for Diana and Stella would be pretty neat, and I'm liking her character and potential for character development so far. But, I'm loving the dynamic Elder Mo and the Grand Elder have. They're two old, life long friends who've fought together and have a good friendship, rivalry and chemistry. Sadly, the rivalry can't be explored much due to the stark difference in cultivation levels, but if Elder Mo gets the inheritance, then it could become a genuine challenge for the Grand Elder to keep up and force them both to keep growing to compete with each other. Really cool dynamic I'd love to see, (edit: also poor grand elder, bro got shafted, nobody wants him to get it 💀)

Oh thank God that result of the poll won't decide the winner... and while I appreciate the engagement you are encouraging from us... I really do not like the fan driven plot choices... I come for the original content from you.

Elder mo can stay a teacher and teach about spirit forging if there clan is staying with ashlock for the long run the grand elder would be the protector elder mo could direct the youth and the younger generation can learn forging from their elder. With this the ashfallen sect becomes a alchemy and forging sect + theres that kid from the alternate cultivation type imagine them actually using spirit forged items too help them cultivate since it would be qi infused metals could be interesting too pull a 3rd clan into the sect through finding them a superior cultivation method perhaps.

Grand elder or amber should inheirt the legacy because they will create tension with the AF sect . Unlike Mo who will be a fanatic of Tree . Which make the merger or Mo's clan settlement nside AF Sect to easy without conflict boring .

I'm more in favour of the grand elder, I liked elder mo position as a teacher (which will be difficult if he is secluded into his forge) and don't necessarily want the young genius take it from the elder for amber thus why I want grand elder. Plus it might make him feel better about not only being a weapon for war but also a crafter

Grand elder makes sense due to the cultivation, though I don't know about determination or what that is, but I feel like he's safe, but has a great opportunity. Mo has the fanaticism of someone who was miraculously saved from a terminal disease that was slowly killing him calle mortality and that should give a lot of determination. Amber would just have an inferiority complex and the will to make herself better. Personally I like Amber because, that would mean another person that Stella might get jealous of and another youngster that would be living under the tree, that would just be, in time another family member to the tree, minus being orphaned, so she might see tree as that cool uncle that is also a tree.

Honestly a very tough choice between Elder Mo and Amber for me. Elder Mo feels very mature and capable of taking on the inheritance, while Amber is more fresh and has fewer preconceptions towards the fire dou that I would argue allows her to be more open toward making spirt forging her main dou.

give it to the eccentric old man yeahhh

I'd honestly expect that all of them eventually grasp the Technique. As to who does it first and claims the whole inheritance? I'd hope it'd be someone who'll actually try to disseminate that knowledge through their clan instead of hoarding it for themselves. They could do with 'something special' to stand out from the other stronger clans. Like the Metal guys have their own exclusive cultivation paradigm. Amber doesn't seem like someone who'd focus on the others in her clan for quite some time if she's so insistent to 'catch up' to Stella and Diana. Elder Mo has a history of teaching but only because he was stuck with his own cultivation. How likely is it that he'll focus on making up for lost time instead of continuing to teach? The Grand Elder is the most stereotypical 'Demonic Cultivator' of those three. He seemed wholly prepared to do away with his family members to secure this treasure for himself. Shortsighted and full of avarice... How likely is it that the words of Elder Mo will have a lasting impact? So, in the end, it's a toss-up between Elder Mo and Grand Elder for me. Both are not ideal, but Amber is probably the least likely to 'waste her time' with teaching others in the foreseeable future.
