When drafting, what do you consider a "solid" amount of words in 20 minutes??
Added 2022-02-09 17:49:34 +0000 UTCOkay, so this is for a potential experiment this month, but I wanted to know what y'all considered to be a "solid" amount of words for a 20-minute sprint when drafting for the first time! (Please only vote once this time!)
Also, I would love to know how you define a "solid" writing session! (Doesn't have to be contained to drafting or 20-minutes.) Usually I think of solid = good, adequate, something I'm content with.
Happy writing!!

Anywhere from 400-500. I can get 600-700 if I have a really good idea of where I’m going with the story though.

2022-02-12 23:15:34 +0000 UTCA solid writing session for me is any session where I feel like I'm making progress. Not just in terms of like, getting words on a page but doing so in a way where I'm both enjoying what I'm writing and I feel like it makes sense and moves the story along in a way I want/need it to. As far as sprints go, Idk, any amount of writing is a good amount for me, but I type super-quick so generally I land around 400 in 20 minutes (factoring in a few seconds/minutes where I'm thinking and not typing). A really good sprint is my fingers moving constantly and managing 500+ words
