I'm finally back from the disastrous adventure in the Crunchy Land and I come bearing gifts. But first, some story time.
As you might have noticed I've been silent for quite a while and lemme explain to you exactly what has been going on.
Originally my plan was to take it easy this time around, join a team as an artists and just have a nice and less-stressful time. Along the way I've met and teamed up with Kuzack so we decided to hunt for a team together as a spectacular BARA-tastic duo. And find a team we did.
I was in charge with hunt and recruitment operation and I was able to sign up a musician and a writer (the amazing Rob Colton, oh my!). We formed The Monsdr team (It's "Monster" but spelled like Grindr :o) and we pretty much had all our bases covered. All except one. Programming. The bane of my existence. Or more specifically programmers. I seem to have a really bad luck with those lately. I'm not going to get into the turbulent details of my communication with my programmer, but let's just state the facts. Not a single deadline was met and on the last day of the jam I had to stay up way later than I was planing to to do all the programming to get the demo version to work. The programmer that was "working" with us has done absolutely no work for the final demo version and we have parted ways soon after the jam was over. (i am still salty okay)
If it was just the two of us I would have scrapped the project and went back to working on Dudes and Devils, but as it stands right now the rest of the team has created so much content it's just depressing to even think of letting this go to waste. I have tried to recruit a replacement programmer but they seem to be extremely rare. or shy. or both. So now I'm feeling the Marccus (go support him, he's great m'kay) fantasy and am basically doing all coding and art. by myself. again. yeah.
We are aiming for a Kickstarter when we have a more polished demo. Stay tuned.
Anyway, now that my anxiety and general stress have eased to a degree I am ready to get back to making great stuff.
Thanks for your support. You might not know it, but your support gives me more hope and will to get things done than you can ever imagine. Thanks and Happy Holidays to everyone <3
