FINAL BOOK CLUB PICK & A SILLY REQUEST!

Hi friends!

Popping in really quickly with two little updates and a request. :)

The first: Our November/December book club pick is REFUSE TO BE DONE by Matt Bell.

The subtitle is “How to Write and Rewrite a Novel in Three Drafts” so I think this might be the perfect final book of the year. I’ve seen a lot of questions about HOW to revise and I’m personally hopeful to see if I can cut my own process down by a draft or two.

The second:

Writing experiments and their polls will return after the 100KQ4 is over! I’ve been brainstorming some fun possibilities and it’s all I can do to hold off bahaha. As always, if you have anything you’ve been curious about, I’m happy to volunteer and give it a try! Just let me know. :)

Now for my request. I’m finishing my packing to head off to my writing retreat TOMORROW, eek! And since I’m going to be surrounded by some extra writers/authortubers and creative minds, I thought it might be fun to use this to our advantage. I’m thinking something like “Giving You Solicited Writing Advice.”

So if you have a story-related, character-related, publishing-related, or otherwise writing-related question that you’d like to submit to our little group, please use this form here.

I’m hoping I can hoodwink a few of my friends into helping me give y’all advice, from the silly to the serious. It could be something as simple as being between two different names or maybe you’re trying to decide between particular tropes, or you want to know what project to work on next, or maybe even if you’d rather query or self-publish a book.

(Also, if you have an “Am I The Asshole” related writing or reading prompt, there’s space in the form for that, too.)

If it turns out there isn’t any time to film something like this, I think it would also be really fun for us to collectively answer some of these questions during a few of our Patreon livestreams, too! :)
