He dances around a lot in this part. He waists so much time explaining, hen re explaining, then explaining again that he could've spoken about a couple of victims. The thing that comes in mind for me is that how does Law Enforcement know when he's full of it versus when he's actually being truthful

He'd lived I Florida for over 10 years by then so I guess the criminals and guards around him may have influenced his accent somewhat

This is the clearest version of this audio I've ever heard. You can really make out Ted's southern accent affectation. I can't tell if it is done in a mocking way or in attempt to fit in with his surroundings and make himself seem more like "one of them."
