I'll soon be interviewing Stephen Michaud, who interviewed Bundy for a year on death row and published The Only Living Witness and Conversations with a Killer.
What questions would you like me to ask him? Anything you’ve wondered about and would like to know? If I decide to use your question I will credit you in the interview post (if desired).
Please post your questions below!

Wow, that would be wonderful! I feel like I could ask him a thousand questions.. And that is exactly the point. Because the question I ended up with is if Mr. Michaud also still has a thousand questions. What I mean is, he stated towards the end of the series ‘Conversations with a killer’ that he felt a significant amount of relief when he last saw Ted Bundy. So, was it really the end of it? He left the prison for good and the case was closed? Or what impact did it have on his life, his everydays, his thinking, etc. Because look at us. We have so many questions and are in some way fascinated or maybe obsessed by this entire tragic story. And I know I should only talk for myself, but I do know that many people are indeed. Some of us is researching and others read all the material that’s been found, and books, and everything. I mean, sure, we weren’t there, didn’t know him, see him, talk to him, listen to him. Mr. Michaud stated he felt ‘sick’ when he left the prison for the last time. lf he really could find a closure (and that’s another question: could he?) - could that be the reason?

2021-05-04 18:21:42 +0000 UTCHi, I’m new here and just started to read my way through. Did this interview already happen? Thank you so much and also for your excellent work. Really amazing.

2021-05-04 05:22:41 +0000 UTCSeveral times during the various interviews with Ted, he got very close to giving up more than his 3rd-person narrative should have allowed. During his discussing Lake Sammamish, it was pretty obvious that he was talking about himself. How difficult was it not to press? Pressuring him would have probably caused him to shut down, so how did you balance getting as much as possible from him without causing him to shut down?

2020-11-10 11:54:01 +0000 UTCFor Detective Dick Kraske (you can use my name): In 1992 I told Dr. Keppel that I believed Bundy had hidden his souvenir photographs in a particular Louisiana location. He responded that Ted had never been to Louisiana. Mr. Hagmaier agreed. However I have since learned that Ted placed himself in New Orleans on the evening of January 6, 1978 when he recounted seeing people going to a Hawks game and that Mr. Coleman has confirmed that Ted briefly made a round trip to Louisiana during his time in Florida. Given the number of unknown victims whose families deserve to learn what happened to their loved ones, shouldn't someone be following up on this lead?.

2020-10-07 14:43:03 +0000 UTCFor Mr. Michaud (you can use my name): Bundy told you that he went straight south from Ann Arbor to Atlanta. That would have been an 11 hour straight shot down I-75. Yet it took him well over 31 hours to make the trip. He stopped in Louisville for breakfast 80 miles west of I-75. In Atlanta he said he saw people going to a Hawks game. The Hawks were playing in New Orleans that night. Louisville is on the way to New Orleans, not Atlanta, It would take over 20 hours plus rest time to travel from Ann Arbor to New Orleans. Mr. Coleman has indicated that Bundy briefly visited Louisiana while he was in Florida. Bundy disappeared in Florida for three days shortly after Chi Omega. Given that there are many unknown victims and a previously unknown connection between Bundy and Louisiana, shouldn't this lead be investigated?

2020-10-07 14:14:48 +0000 UTCMr. Michaud- I would like to know what Ted did with the victims that he kept for varying amounts of time (Melissa Smith). The significance of bodies of water at his dump/burial sites. The significance of house-like structures also seen in several dump/burial sites- were these structures used to keep victims alive for a period of time? Also, I really lik e Leto M.K.'s input!

2020-09-28 15:17:05 +0000 UTCFor Michaud: I would like to know if he has a theory on why Ted atalked and harrassed Laura Aime for about a month whereas his other victims seemed to be crimes of opportunity? I.e in the case of Carol DaRonch he simply moved on to find another victim. What changed in the psychopathology there? I can provide more sources on this if you need as it's kind of a little known fact. Thanks!

2020-09-26 23:50:46 +0000 UTCFor Mr. Michaud: My understanding is that several years after you and Mr. Aynesworth interviewed Bundy for "The Only Living Witness," the F.B.I. confiscated the interview tapes. How did you then reobtain the tapes to feature them in the Netflix documentary "Conversations with a Killer: The Ted Bundy Tapes"?
