It’s really sad that even at Issaquah, Georgann thought Ted was going to help her with her Spanish test. What’s your opinion on “it’s too difficult to talk about”? He always seems to do this in confessions when he’s close to any sort of specific event, he will back out. It seems doubtful it would be because of guilt or possible embarrassment when confronted by officials etc.

2021-11-10 16:26:29 +0000 UTCI´m impressed by how Bob Keppel handled the interview. He was totally honest as to how little he could do to help Ted postpone the execution, although technically speaking it worked to his disadvantage. He could have just lied, but chose not to, which speaks volumes about him.

2020-11-26 17:08:32 +0000 UTCTed sounds pretty resigned to his fate at the end of the second tape. I'm amazed how much time Koppel let's Ted spend on the details of a possible deal. I probably would have made up some details just to get him to relax and talk. Dennis Couch was a nice guy but it's really unbelievable he didn't bring a map or anything to class. None of these guys were prepared to deal with Ted, who was hovering just. E

2020-11-26 17:08:13 +0000 UTCOn page 33 Ted says there were no murders before 1974. Then on page 63 he describes the Tumwater hitchhiker murder in May of 1973. Ted says he's unsure about the date and gas receipts put him in Tumwater on Good Friday 1973. I've always wondered if there is a missing person report for someone who disappeared in the area on Easter weekend 1973.

2020-11-24 04:24:07 +0000 UTCPage 2 On Friday Ted promised not to go to the press without consulting with Keppel saying "you certainly have my word on it." Then on Saturday without notice he sent Tanner out to announce that things are going well and they just need more time. Keppel was furious, feeling he'd been used. Martinez reacted predictably by announcing in public that the execution will proceed as planned shutting off any chance he might be persuaded otherwise. It appears that Ted wanted to make sure the Martinez wouldn't delay the execution.
