Dobson's Newsletter, 1989

Awhile back I contacted Focus on the Family hoping for some more details regarding Ted's final public interview, and they sent me this Feb. 1989 newsletter written to FotF supporters. Tomorrow will mark 32 years since Ted was executed, and I thought y'all might find it interesting.

"I felt compassion for the man I found in prison on that Sunday night, two days before his execution. The arrogance was gone. The facade had collapsed. What remained was a broken, exhausted, frightened man who was looking death squarely in the face. Only the Lord knows whether Bundy was genuinely remorseful for the terrible things he had done. But after my encounter with him, I am persuaded that he had repented of his sins and that his profession of faith was real..."

In my humble opinion you're wrong: there's the same correlation between car buyers and pornography use, even with more statistically valuable prevalence, as the numbers of car buyers are pretty higher than violent sex offenders. This was Bundy firing one last shot, trying to convince Dobson about his remorse, in the hope he can do something to save his life. Pornography, and even violent pornography, has been increasing its presence in life from the '70s, and crime and violent crimes have been decreasing from the '70s ( accounting all over the World numbers ). If you want to trace some correlation, it's just the opposite, like if pornography was fulfilling the needs of that kind of people and deflating that "Entity" inside them ( I don't think so, but this statement has more scientific base than yours ).

Thank you for this! In no way do I have a puritanical view of sex. However, in my opinion there is no disputing the correlation of violent sex offenders and prevalence of pornography use.
