2021-02-05 19:41:29 +0000 UTCStores still accept checks. In the 70s most of us wrote checks. ATMs were just getting started, debit cards existed but were in pilot testing. Getting cash meant going to the bank for a withdrawal, writing a check to cash, writing a check for more than the amount of purchase, or writing a check to yourself at the bank.

Wonder what he is getting at the drug store. Cigarettes ? I'm sure the drug stores then sold more traditional drug store type goods as opposed to today when they sell everything under the sun.

Is he regularly purchasing food with a check ? What's the deal with Pay and Save ? If you know multiple checks written to that place. Several checks written to "QFC" What's that stand for ? If you know. Plus he wrote a five dollar check to Molly ? Who gives a check to a child ? Did he never carry cash ? Lots of small checks. That missing check list (I gather that was written by someone in law enforcement) What's your read there ? What's missing exactly ? The cancelled check ? Was Ted hiding something or is there absence unrelated to the crimes. Any key points you'd like to share regarding these records ? Anything stand out as particularly telling to you ?
