Molly's Story

"Ms. Romine stated that her daughter Peyton related a story that Molly Kloepfer (Liz's daughter) had told her in confidence. Peyton told her mother that when Molly's mother was not at home and the boyfriend of Ms. Kloepfer was caring for her, he liked to play hide and seek and on at least one occasion stated he was going to take off all his clothes so that he could be more invisible and apparently did..." (January, 1978)

Wow! They did? That must have made it just that much harder for her to carry. I loved how that documentary took on a specific perspective too, as opposed to making it just voyeuristic (and I don't mean that negatively). But it also made this sad story a historical lesson in how societal change impacts criminality.

I admire her too. This is proof that her story is true-- several people in the community sadly doubted her.

She talks about it in the Falling For A Killer documentary on Amazon. It was so sad to me that she didn't tell her mother because she "knew her mother would be hurt". How chaotic for a girl that age. She seems to have come out strong and confident. I admired her a great deal.

Indeed it is. It's sad that this was known since 1978 but never followed up on. It completely collaborates her story that seemed like such a bombshell in 2020.

Amazing find. Fully consistent with her account in the book-
