Report Cards, 1954-1967

June 11, 1954

Teddy understands numbers 1 to 20 and knows the meaning of 100. He is at ease before the group and expresses himself well relating events in proper sequence. Teddy enjoys singing with the group. Teddy shows good sportsmanship on the playground. This is an asset to both him and the group. Teddy understands and enjoys the stories we read and reads voluntarily in various classroom activities.In the area of social studies and science Teddy contributes good ideas to the planning of the group. He has a good background of experiences from which to draw. Next year, Teddy Bundy will be in the second grade.

March 1956

Teddy is making satisfactory progress in his third grade work. His number concepts are good and he is very accurate in arithmetic. His originality and detail in art are exceptional. Teddy is not a fluent oral reader but his comprehension is good. Although Teddy wants to be a good boy, he is sometimes boisterous and undependable.

March 1957

Teddy is very interested in our state and local affairs. He has a keen intellect in ready, especially for information. However, he still has difficulty in seeing differences between words. Teddy needs to become a little more mature in his behavior.

June 6, 1958

Teddy doesn’t give attention to the others in the class when they are speaking. We should help Teddy to develop a respectful, cooperative attitude towards the other pupils…Teddy needs help in finding worthwhile activities for his spare time.

This is a random question... but can anyone make out what the last name of his 4th grade teacher was? Her first name is obviously Virginia, but I can't read her last name.

Wow, interesting. (How did you acquire this?!) I wonder what Dr. Dorothy Otnow-Lewis' impressions, being a child psych, would be. Although too young to be thought of as anti-social, even in a broad sense, there seems to be some indication of a maladjustment that might be forming and not unexpectedly so early on.

You think Ted would’ve had the smarts to work his absolute hardest than before during his senior year of high school. He should’ve joined in a lot of after school clubs, being highly active. He graduated with a 3.2 GPA, which isn’t the best for getting into law school. Especially if he had the desire to being a lawyer, wanting to go to Ivy League schools. I think he didn’t apply himself enough to the work. Such a disappointment.
