Rug Cleaning/Repair Receipt, 1974

On July 25, 1974, Ted delivered a Kurdish rug to the Seattle shop Pande-Cameron for cleaning and repair (two splits). This was 9 days after he murdered Janice Ott and Denise Naslund, abducted on the same day from Lake Sammamish. He picked it up on August 13, about two weeks before he left for Salt Lake City. No idea what it looked like, but I've attached an example in roughly the same size and age (at the time).

Anyone know what "Kurd SA 4x5x8x0" means? I'm assuming the rug was Kurdish in origin, maybe semi-antique, 4 ft by 5.8 ft?

As requested by a Reddit user whose grandpa washed Ted's rug, here's the receipts!

I believe it's 4 feet 5 inches × 8 feet. 4'5"× 8'0"

He didn't spend his own money on anything if he could help it. Stolen rug from Northgate Mall, most likely.

I wonder if he 'bought' the rug from this store though, or stole it from another. I remember reading of him stealing some huge rug he couldn't afford

That’s a really interesting find!!

That is so fun! I always remembered Liz saying on FFAK that Ted took her to show her his favourite oriental rug store and she found it "endearing". Now we know the name. It literally amazes me that you can find things like this!!
