Hard times

As many of you know, both my HIT Facebook page of nearly three years and my Instagram were reported and shut down last week. I appealed and was denied, for reasons they wouldn't explain, and now I have multiple restrictions on my personal account too.
I have good reason to suspect I am being deliberately targeted. An unfortunate acquaintanceship with someone several years ago has led to what I can only describe as a hate obsession with me that has continued to this day. I'll spare you that toxic story (or if you want to hear it and have the stomach for infuriating drama, feel free to PM me).
This person often reposts my Bundy content to her own social media without credit, even going as far as to (clumsily) remove my watermarks. Then she went a step further: the day my FB page went down, she also reposted a video from this Patreon. She covered up my watermark and even credited a fake account with finding it. She clearly wants to take credit for my work but doesn't have the skills to achieve it herself. I don't believe the timing was a coincidence.
So this means either she's here under a fake account, which is typical behavior for her, or sadly someone here is giving her our content. I say OUR because we are a community. All of you have chipped in to allow this research to continue. Copying private videos then giving them away to someone with a personal vendetta isn't fair to me or anyone else here. Literally my only rule for this group has been to keep what I share with y'all to yourselves.
While Patreon conducts an investigation into this incident, unfortunately this means I'm going to have to tighten restrictions, take down videos, lock more content to the highest tier, and place bigger, uglier watermarks on what I share. It really sucks that this is how it has to be, but I put in way too much time, money, and effort to have my work devalued in this way. I believe I deserve to be fairly compensated and recognized for the quality of content I provide, and I won't compromise on that.
I know that most of you want to be here for the right reason-- the same reason I got into this odd hobby in the first place-- for the research. We are all fascinated and haunted by this enigmatic case. Each new piece of information illuminates a new angle we hadn't seen before, births new theories, and deepens our understanding.
But every new cycle of hateful attacks leaves me deeply, spiritually, painfully exhausted, and closer to closing up shop. I'm still chasing down leads for new research, and have yet to even share the most exciting things I've found... but if this content theft continues, maybe I never will.

For what it’s worth, I’ve used Twitter in my research project/podcasting capacity for three years and, despite similar attacks by detractors/bad faith actors, I’m still going strong on Twitter. You could always create one to serve as an additional means of communication, engagement, etc

I follow other Facebook pages that post things about serial killers and they too are getting "restrictions" and "bans" just for posting pictures of Ted Bundy and others like him. I also know of several "dark art" artists that can no longer post pictures of their own paintings depicting serial killers, even though their art does NOT contain any acts of violence or profanity. I hope you can at least find some comfort in knowing the person or persons stealing YOUR WORK will also face similar restrictions and bans on Facebook and Instagram as well if they haven't already....

I thought someone reported me but didn’t understand what was going against community rules. Like I said they’d tell me exactly what was reported. If I decide to start a new acct. I need to take one at a time and go thru them. My B-Day was 5 days before Bundy’s execution in 1989. I had a huge party that was recorded. I remember ppl talking about him 😂

It's unfair that true crime, a very popular and common genre of "entertainment" today, is attacked so hard by Meta censors. However, I do strongly believe that this person was responsible for the Facebook account though, which was my strongest following.

I'm sorry someone is trying to make a quick buck with lazy research. I find yours and other authors' work to be an insight into what you hear in the news isn't really the whole story and sometimes not the right one. Thanks for the research here and yours is one of the only Patreon accounts I support because the work is so well done.

I hate this happening. I love this group. Me too only found this not long ago. I Please count me among your supporters for the future. It’s enough to be able to watch the vid and can’t crop it. Otherwise add more. On all 4 corners another one diagonally whatever you need to do from getting it stolen and not credit you. I even started putting it in the middle of the vid. Your Patreon and Website. As you know I only shared 30sec to a minute as a teaser. Even though someone didn’t agree with that. But that’s fine. I know all about copyright and what I can and can’t do. Even that one time I shared a few pics crediting you, you privately asked me to remove 2 and I was totally fine doing that. I have respect for otters and have removed a vid of the original owner if they ask me to. If a person edits a Ted vid. I’ll credit them. But just bc someone finds it on the internet, I don’t credit. In the past Insta would tell you which post goes against community rules and you can appeal which they have restored after reviewing. But those that are against community rules, they warn you ahead of time, you will have your acct suspended. I noticed early morning the day before my insta was suspended, I was down about 20 followers which is unusual. But later that day someone DM me on my other SM acct. They said my acct, your acct and several others are gone. That’s when it dawned on me this happened about 4 or 5yrs ago. I don’t know if it’s Meta or whatever other filters they use to wipe out many accts. My acct was private. I wasn’t using hashtags or say full names of SKs. This is complete BS. I knew about Bundy since the news of the Lake Sammamish abductions. Saw the news when he escaped twice and my Dad talking to my Mom saying how the fk does this a-hole escape twice. Then both trials and execution. It was quiet for decades. I’d see a movie or documentary once until his 30th anniversary and all these little teeny boppers fell so in love with Ted who’s been dead 30yrs because Berlinger cast Disney boy Zac Efron. Had it been any other unknown actor. None of this would’ve happened.
