Janice Graham, 1974

"It's really hard to associate his face with what you would think of as a murder/rapist - it just doesn't fit."

After the murders at Lake Sammamish, psychologists Donna Schram and John Berberich were hired by the King County "Ted" Task Force. They were tasked with creating a psychological profile of "Ted," in a desperate attempt to track down the criminal without much other evidence to go on. To this end, they began interviewing the witnesses, those who had encountered "Ted" but were fortunate enough to have refused to go with him. They wanted to wring out any possible detail, anything that would lend them some insight into this madman's identity.

In this transcript, the profilers speak at length with Janice Graham, the first woman "Ted" was known to have approached that day at the lake.

Nice to put a face to the name, as they say! (Here I've been picturing the girl from the "Deliberate Stranger" TV-movie all this time).

OverTheRhine

Weird that she managed to assume he was a student, a skier and a chess player! He was such a "type" I guess. I was taken aback to learn she was Lynda Healey's close friend of 12 years!! Such a small and close connection, like Susan's brother dating Janice.

Fascinating to listen to psychologists (thinkers) bat the ball around.

Milena Hazell

Interesting haven’t finished yet it’s long; this chick is the main source of the Ted height debate I believe;
