Messages to Governor Martinez, 1989

A letter Frank Fender wrote to Governor Martinez, asking to be present at the execution. He was Kimberly Leach's uncle, her mother's brother.

Also a list of phone calls to the governor's office overwhelmingly voicing support for the execution.

That is correct, no victims family members were present.

I think I remember one of the prison people saying in an interview that there weren't any victims' family members present at the execution, so I'm guessing this request wasn't granted.
