One month of Patreon!
Added 2024-04-27 17:05:21 +0000 UTCHello all you fantastic people! As far as I can tell, today marks the one month anniversary of my Patreon!! (Technically it's been up longer, but I didn't tell anyone it existed until ~3/27.)
Anyways, I just wanted to take a minute and thank all of you wonderful readers for your support. I honestly didn't know what to expect when I started this, but I'm absolutely overjoyed with how it's gone. There are about twenty of you, and your support truly means the world.
I've been thinking recently about how I'd love to do more for all my readers, but I'm not entirely sure what I could offer. Obviously my writing isn't going to stop, it's too much fun, but it could be neat to have other things to post besides just my stories.
Random ideas I've had include Q&A sessions, raffles for character inserts, offering small writing commissions, maybe livestream hangouts? Honestly there are a million things I could do, so I'd love to hear from you!
What would you want to see? How can I say thank you for all your wonderful support?

2024-04-28 02:26:52 +0000 UTCI'm pretty good at understanding how to balance my workload, so I'm not worryed about overloading myself, but I appreciate the thought :) Honestly, one benefit of writing, when compared to other creative outlets, is there's not as much pressure to have a constant online presence. I'm definitely planning a Q&A soon. I might even make them a semi-regular event! It could depend on the size of this patreon, honestly.

2024-04-28 02:17:41 +0000 UTCPatreon exclusive short stories sounds like a really fun idea! One thing I love doing with my writing is trying to make a world that feels authentic and lived in. Short stories about disparate events and plot threads would be a great way to make that happen. In my opinion, there's a lot of narrative potential in my little world, and I'm eager to explore it. That being said, I have quite a few story threads that, although not relevant now, might come up in future books in the mainline SaS series. I would honestly love to do art, but there's a financial factor present in that idea that makes it difficult to implement. I did commission Amara for the banner! I would love to get more art in the future.

2024-04-28 02:14:41 +0000 UTCI had no idea Patreon had those rules about raffles! Thanks for pointing that out <3 I've thought about making a Discord, and I constantly waffle back and forth on it. I'm in a LOT of discords, and honestly I'm not very active on most of them. So while it would be a great way to host livestream hangs, I worry that I don't have enough stuff to justify a server, if that makes sense. It's certainly on the table, especially if more people ask in the future!

2024-04-27 23:25:24 +0000 UTCI like FanofRoses idea of hangouts, although I suspect that's what the chat section is intended to do. As for Chloe, I'm not so sure. I'd like to see how this plays out from Nyx. Personally, I've enjoyed the humanization of the characters. If every character is non human, it defeats the purpose of giving the characters human tendencies and emotions. However, maybe that's what Nyx intended in the first place.

I love the idea of adding more content to this Patreon, but I don't want to pile on more work that may take you away from the things you enjoy. Q & A sounds like a great idea, and I think it could work in both directions. I'm sure we'd all like to ask you questions, but it could also be interesting for you to ask all of us questions (whether it's about your series, or about unrelated topics). Livestream hangouts sound fun! It would be great to get to know everybody here! I for one am open to any idea that anyone has. I'm willing to be myself and willing to do fun and creative things with a group of people who share a key interest, and I hope we can all learn more about each other along the way.

2024-04-27 19:13:47 +0000 UTCOccasional Patreon-only short stories, whether related to Suddenly a Succubus or completely separate topics, would be entertaining and would give Literotica readers a reason to subscribe here. An example might be Amaraβs parents. Was her dad an incubus? Did her mom know and has been watching all throughout Amaraβs childhood for hints that her daughter inherited that trait, or was she unaware? Or is her mom a succubus and hid it from everyone, but now that Amara knows what she is they are able to form a closer bond? Another story might be Tessaβs childhood. Sheβs a young adult, but her knowledge and experience, plus the runes tattooed on her head, suggest a very interesting childhood. Nothing necessary for the main storyline, but interesting background details for people who want more. Patreon-only art of the characters would be great, but there might be a cost to have that done. I think it would be hilariously awesome if ChloΓ© ended up being some form of nonhuman. A succubus, an angel, a witch, and a normal human ended up in a friend group together; none of them knowing about the others until things started to go down. Maybe ChloΓ© is better at keeping her secrets or sheβs more oblivious to the othersβ drama and she ends up being a werewolf or something that sheβs kept hidden the whole time.
