Suddenly A Succubus Ch. 21 - Reflection
Added 2024-07-31 17:00:08 +0000 UTCDid you know this is only my third lesbian sex scene? I'm consistently surprised by how little girl-on-girl action I put in my story as a very devout lesbian. Still, when it does happen, it's a blast, and I have a feeling it'll become more common as we get further into the story.
One really nice thing I was able to do in this chapter was show a bit of Tessa's mundanity. She likes to show up when there's plot happening, and she doesn't get as many of the really comfortable, slice-of-life scenes that I have so much fun writing. There's a lot going on with Tessa, yet Amara's story consistently puts her in a supporting role, and this is a big reason I'm writing the Side Story about her. She deserves a little more attention! (Not that kind of attention, she gets plenty of that.)
Once they're finished fucking, I finally get the chance to introduce another first. Amara shapeshifts into Mr. Luxnor, and it's her first time in a man's body! In my original draft, she didn't spend much time reflecting on this, and I'm happy I gave her the little inner monologue I did. I'm purposely being pretty careful about playing around with this aspect of Amara's shapeshifting, mostly around the dick part, just because I really want to keep it tasteful. I see a lot of stories in this genre that heavily focus on the "girl with a dick" trope, and I always have mixed opinions about them. For my story, since I'm trying so hard to focus on identity and queer representation, I'm trying to not fetishize any specific element.
Long story short, there's a good chance Amara might play around with this particular tool later, but it's not high on my list.
Without further ado, I finally get to introduce the cult! It was a little surreal finally putting them to the page, as I've been building up to them for so long. I mean, Tessa showed Amara the first magic circle back in Chapter six! This is my first attempt at writing what it, more a less, a bit more of a simplistic antagonist. Book One focused heavily on the inevitable conflict with Vee, who was more of a secondary protagonist than a true antagonist. Here, though, I've got a cult that's pretty obviously up to no good.
Writing out Sebastian's monologue was a bit of a challenge. I've been building him up for a bit, and he's obviously the reason Derek got to run around and be such a jerk, but he's never appeared before. What if he feels underwhelming? He's the main villain of this book, and it would be a shame if he didn't have any gravitas to him. If nothing else, I hope he's at least a contemptable person.
Even if Mr. Wellington falls flat, however, I still get to introduce another demon for the first time. I'm really happy with how this turned out, and it's actually something I planned out a really long time ago. This story lives rent-free in my head, practically all day every day, and I'm constantly thinking about plot points and how to weave them together.
I've mentioned before that I already have outlines for books three and four, but I have so many ideas bouncing around. I've got a small list of scenes that I'm so excited to write, and some of them probably won't see the light of day until at least book seven. Hopefully I'll see all of you there!

So, quite a few of these answers are somewhat difficult to answer. Some of the points you bring up (The nature of Amara's feeding, Nick's narrative potential, etc.) are plot point that I'm already planning on exploring in future books. Like I mentioned in this post, I have plans for quite a few books, and I've been planting seeds for future plot points ever since I started Book One. This isn't an exhaustive list, but here are a few examples of things that I'm planning on exploring in future books: Amara's mother (Evelyn), friends (Chloé, Vee, Tessa, and Nick), the nature of Amara's abilities, and many other forces that may be at work in this setting. I regret that I can't give you any more concrete answers, but I'll give you one little bonus hint. Book Three, which I'm in the middle of extensively outlining, is going to focus on Amara's friends much more that Books One and Two. I should be starting it in another two months, give or take! And thank you again for your enthusiasm <3

2024-08-10 18:23:31 +0000 UTCI have loved reading your story from the beginning. It has been captivating watching the slow transformation of an innocent college virgin into a demon of lust. There are a few things I was wondering about. 1. Does the drain that Amara do on her "victims" have an effect similar to what we commonly know about succubus? Maybe this can be delved into deeper in the next book? Perhaps she goes a little to far during the teased about threesome with Nick and Tessa and nearly kills one of them? 2. I think as Amara embraces more and more of her demonic side that perhaps she starts expanding beyond just her two friends. Yes we saw the one instance with the professor but is seems like her appetite for more should begin to play a part. Something like she goes to a party and meets "Jeff" and she ends up tying him to the bed and has some fun. 3. I also think there is an opportunity to deepen the story with Nick. Play the emotional part where even though he is "just a friend" he becomes more and more jealous of other "victims" causing a rift with Amara, possiblybcreating a dynamic subplot amidst all the chaos. I LOVE the story and since you now have a piece of my soul I thought I would share some thoughts. I eagerly await the next chapter!!
