February Update

I published a book!!!

I'm so incredibly happy with how the final version of Suddenly A Succubus turned out. The entire process was thoroughly enjoyable, and I learned so much about the world of self-publication. The best part (other than having a paperback copy of my very own book) is that publishing more books in the future will be considerably easier. I have all the knowledge and the technology, and the next publication will likely eat up less of my time overall.

I'm going to make one last blatant plea for support before moving on to other topics.

I can't stress this enough, but Reviews are massively important.

Amazon is the biggest market for self-publishers, and it's incredibly easy for indie authors to get lost amid a sea of other creatives. The more Reviews I get, the better chance Suddenly A Succubus has at being discovered by new, eager fans.

Chances are, if you're here, it's because you enjoy my work. Please consider leaving a review for this book, it would mean the world to me, and it will make future book releases even easier.

I made some posts last week going into more details on the release, so go check those out!

Moving forward, I'm hoping to release two books a year. That's roughly the pace I'm writing anyways, and it will give me a nice consistent presence in the publishing world. This means, unless something goes wrong, Book Two of The Aurelius Archives is expected to come out sometime in June!

Outside of the world of publication, things are going well. Book Three of Suddenly A Succubus is probably going to be wrapping up in early March, which means we're in the home stretch!

I've got big plans in store for Amara and her friends, and it's pretty nerve-wracking seeing all the pieces slowly come together.

Speaking of big plans, I had a conversation with some of my Beta Readers recently that reminded me of something. We were talking about the series as a whole, and I offhandedly mentioned a fun little tidbit that seemed to catch people off guard. I think, at some point, I started assuming that I'd mentioned my long term goals for the series, but I don't think I ever actually shared that information.

So, fun fact!

Suddenly A Succubus (Or The Aurelius Archives, formally) is going to be a pretty lengthy series.

The first four books are, in my head, only the first Act of the larger story. When all is said and done, Amara will probably have at least a dozen books to her name, if not more. I already have vague outlines for books five through nine, and I'm starting to piece together what the big finale of the series will be.

So, yeah, I hope you're excited! I certainly am.

Outside of SaS, Blood & Chlorophyll continues to be a joy to write. I know it's not as popular, but I'm having a blast with it and I've learned a bunch. Alicia and Katrina are now comfortably in the final act of the story, and I can't wait to see it through to the end.

I also officially have a Discord server now!

https://discord.gg/9ZeJAtpV

It's open to anyone and everyone that wants to join, not just paid members of my Patreon. That being said, Paid Members do get special roles and access to member-only channels. It's also a place to consolidate announcements about when new chapters are posted, news about my book publications, and things like that. Hope to see you soon!

Lastly, now that I'm done with my book publication, I'm finally going to have time to get back to the Patreon exclusive Side Series. We still have more to see with Tessa's story, and I even know what's coming next! Sorry for the delay, life got a little hectic for a bit, but I'm excited to get back to a normal content schedule.

As always, I'm readily available for anyone that has any questions or comments about my work. Until next time!

Stories will always be subjective experiences, and I'm glad you're enjoying mine. I'm happy to have given you a story you care about, and if you ever feel the need to talk about anything in my work, in any capacity, I'm always happy to share my thoughts. I try to keep the political discussion to a minimum as a personal preference, but at the end of the day, the things I write about (and also me) are political issues, so at times it's unavoidable. Also happy to hear you're enjoying the updated version! Most of the changes are at the beginning of the book, and I think it helps build a stronger foundation for everything that comes later. :)

Sophia, I'm incredibly flattered to hear that my work has had such a positive impact on your life. Amara's story is, at its heart, a transgender narrative, so it's great to hear that it resonated with you. All the best wishes for you moving forward! <3

So far, the published version is even better than your first stab at it. I won't claim it's affected me the same way as some others have, but please keep up the representation. As a cis white guy, in Trumps world, I can use some reminders of who needs to be fought for. I'm not always comfortable with the trans stuff, but it needs to be normalized and I'll support it whenever I can. You've done really well with that.

Nyx, I’m so happy for this huge milestone! This is my favorite story and is one of the reasons I realized I am trans. Amara and Vee coming to terms with what they are and what’s inside of them and Chloe’s story really made me rethink things in my life. Thank you so much!

Sophia B.
