(Chit-Chat) I’ve Been Planning Something…

I have something wonderful in store. I woke up this morning with a great idea and began planning it right away. The process is much more complex than I anticipated. Thank goodness for online resources.
I’m going to take my time on this project so that it can be enjoyable and engaging for you. I’m sure there will be flaws, as I am rather new to this, but I would like the end result to be as polished as possible.
I’m super excited to share it with you. Honestly, I was so passionate that I spent my entire day brainstorming and building. I forgot to eat lunch.
I do that sometimes, become so engrossed in a project that I neglect self-care. Sometimes I suspect that I have Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD). Many people associate ADD with distractibility, which I also struggle with, like many others who grew up in the age of smartphones. But hyper-fixation is also a sign of ADD—and I do it a lot.
I have some characteristics of ADD, but I do not feel as if any of these “symptoms” significantly disrupt my daily life. For the most part, I live an organized and cohesive life. I just allow my passions to lead me.

Today was a very unlucky day. I have pinkeye in both eyes, so I have to wear my glasses until my infection heals. I haven’t worn glasses in a little under a decade, so I’m very uncomfortable right now. I miss my contacts. Glasses make the world look… warped? It’s hard to explain.
And I look so friggin’ bad in these things. The shape is unflattering, and the lenses shrink the appearance of my eyes. I look like a completely different person.
I’m reminded how horrible my eyesight is when I remove my contacts. Without corrective lenses, my life would look very different. I have severe myopia (nearsightedness), and anything further than five inches from my face looks blurry and distorted. My eyesight began to deteriorate second grade.
Also, the AC stopped working and cannot be fixed until tomorrow afternoon. The house is 83°F (28°C). I’m running two fans and feel fine in the bedroom thankfully. But the living room is a nightmare.
But I shouldn’t complain. I’m happy to have access to corrective lenses at all, glasses or contacts. And I’m grateful that the AC can be fixed as soon as tomorrow.
And I’m just happy that I’m alive, healthy, learning, growing, and creating. My problems are solvable, and I will feel more comfortable soon.
QOTD: What’s one good thing that happened recently, one thing that could’ve been better, and one thing that you’re looking forward to this week?
Edit (9-26-22) I will record my upcoming Q&A today! My Q&As are usually super chill, so I should not need much time to edit. However, I was surprised by my period this morning (which was not due for another two days) and am thus feeling a bit drained, so I may not be as cheerful and bubbly during the Q&A. I'm sure it will be engaging nonetheless. I actually prefer my calmer Q&As, like the cozy Q&A that I recorded when I had COVID. What about you?
Talk soon!
