I think the rain being deeper in the mix definitely works for mood, it's just I couldn't hear it at all with my volume at 100% unless I used an extra gain boost. I admit, that could be a "my headphones" issue (I also often play a separate rain or storm track along with these narrations at around 20% volume compared to the narration, so I'm pretty keyed in for hearing rain in the background). As well as rain, you might want to try experimenting with cracking fireplaces, the sounds of an ocean beach, a howling winter storm, a bustling tropical forest, and things of that nature. They can each add a lot of mood and ambiance depending on the setting and theme of the story. Incidentally, I hope I don't come across as overly critical with some of my suggestions in the previous post. I'm just into the technical side of this stuff too given that I enjoy recording creepypasta stories, so I get enthusiastic when asked for feedback. You're doing fantastic work!

I'm glad that you enjoyed Roger! Moon from The Milky Way

Thank you for your detailed feedback! I increased the gain of the rain on the window a tad, but it is still fairly faint. I wanted the rain to contribute more to the overall setting rather than be in the forefront. Still, I will keep in mind that rain alone is soothing and perhaps record rain-focused sleep aids. This one was centered around head-scratching, kisses, and tongue clicks Thank you for your feedback about the tongue clicks. I'm still getting the hang of adding triggers to my audios, so this is very helpful. P.S. I increased the kisses and thunder a bit, but it is not very noticeable. I did not want to change much since others were satisfied with the mix.

Don't change a thing Roger from Florida

The thunder is well leveled -- although I'd actually make it just a natch louder -- but I would bring the rain on the window way up in the mix. I don't think I'd have even noticed it if you hadn't put it in the description, and I had to really listen for it. Rain is one of my favorite sleep aids, so being able to hear it more would be good. The head rubbing/scratching is also well leveled in the mix. The kissing is not too harsh or sharp -- honestly I'd bring the volume of the kisses up in the mix, but I admit this is a personal preference thing. The only thing that doesn't really work, for me, is the tongue clicking. Feels like one element too many along with the kissing. I'd pick one or the other... and obviously my preference would be the kissing, I find it more tingly than tongue clicking. But definitely increase the volume of the rain on the window, it's completely lost in the mix. The only way I can really hear it is by using a gain booster running at +25%.
