Obsessed Sleep Demon Plays Mind Games (Extended)

It’s not your first time being haunted by a sleep paralysis demon, but you’re not greeted with its usual menacing growl. Still, you stick to the script: Wiggle your fingers to break yourself out of the episode.

… until an unfamiliar voice demands otherwise.

Heads up: There’s a loud moment at around 6:05. This beginning of this roleplay is not very suitable for sleep; skip to 10:40 for sleep.

Background

Sleep paralysis is a state in which your physical body is “asleep” but your mind is awake. It can occur when you’re falling asleep or waking up. To prevent yourself from acting out your dreams, your mind disconnects itself from your body, and you are unable to move or speak until you’re fully awake. (I learned after researching that you’re apparently not supposed to be able to move your fingers during sleep paralysis. But I remember wiggling my fingers to break free when I was younger, so let’s assume that you can!)

In this in-between state, many experience auditory and visual hallucinations, often frightening. Some report being terrorized by the infamous “sleep paralysis demon.”

A Note from Moon

Hi everyone! This isn’t my usual audio, is it? A few of you mentioned in my brainstorming chat that you were craving a bit of fantasy, and Aaron’s requests for a sleep demon roleplay felt like the perfect escape. (I did tweak the request a bit!)
