I later retracted my statement, what I was trying to say was there was no moment where the governor opened up to a character in the main group the way negan just did

They had a whole storyline where he met those two women in the apartment complex and he helped them take care of their dying grandfather. I’m pretty sure he started dating one of them and her daughter ended up getting bite while she wasn’t looking. She ended up killing the governor in the end.
