As someone who has stories in my head that need to be written down, I found AI useful to help elaborate further on writing a story that fits my vision because that are times when I struggled to explain further in the story. I enjoy writing stories only to exercise my creativity, not for profit. That being said, it is still up to me to make changes to the story because AI sometimes gets it wrong, or it would repeat itself. At the end of the day, it's down to the user who uses AI.

Sorry, but if you use AI to write a book, beyond research or outlines, you aren't a writer. The market is flooding with low effort AI trash, people hoping to make a quick buck by scamming someone.
