We haven't had them in years since we switched to Pillsbury crescent rolls, but I used to love the old Parker rolls browned in the overn that would pull apart right down the middle

So, I know a lot of people won’t understand, but… Fave side: beats. Boiled, peeled, and grated then simmered with butter, lemon juice, horseradish, and cream. Add sugar if your beets aren’t sweet enough. Also love my mom’s stuffing… turkey liver (or chicken liver if they didn’t include the liver with the turkey) blended with butter, nutmeg, salt, pepper, bread (soaked in milk) egg yolk, then folded into the egg whites…I guess it comes out looking like a pâté… It’s a Polish thing. 🤷‍♀️

Brit here and I made a pumpkin pie for the first time a couple weeks ago. As the kids say, it slapped

STUFFING. And no, not southern. I hate the cornbread..but the “northern” stuffing with celery in it. We also ate cranberry salad which had pecans, cranberry’s, jello, celery and pineapple in it. TO DIE FOR.

My mom is from England, and a go to for our holidays is always mashed Swede, or Rutabaga. It's the best!

When I was younger, as immigrants, my parents did the American thing of making a turkey and all the fixings for Thanksgiving. We quickly realized that none of us really like the traditional Thanksgiving food! Since then, we usually do mashed potatoes with either a big ham or nice steaks for everyone or, like last year, a beef Wellington I made!

For the food episode, I'd love to hear your take on the regulation hotdog, regulation fries, regulation pie, and regulation burger. Fuck garlic aioli.

Ever since I have learned how to cook a turkey properly that's my favorite thing. Before I learned all turkey was dry and tasteless and I hated it. Now it is juicy with lots of flavor and I get asked all the time to cook the turkey now.

Cranberry pretzel salad. The only time it’s made is Thanksgiving and that’s the only time I’ll take the whole pan.
