Sometimes medical professionals don't realize what they're saying. My wife was sick and we didn't know why. We went to the doctor and got her checked out, a d the doc strolled in a d started with, "well at least you don't have cancer." That hadnt even been on the radar π³

2025-10-07 12:46:18 +0000 UTCOH, speaking of dislocating jaws, I've done that before while yawning once when I was a kid. I was just stretching my neck muscles and had tiled my head back so I was looking up at the ceiling when, at the same time, I needed to yawn. I started to yawn and then, while still yawning, lifted my head back into the upright position. At some point during this maneuver, my jaw dislocated and, for a few short seconds, I couldn't close my jaw. Then there was a "pop" as my jaw moved back into place and I have always remembered since then, even to this day, to -NOT- yawn while looking up. It didn't hurt (there was a bit of an ache after it popped back into place), but it felt extremely weird and it's something I'd care to never have happen again.
