POV Poll!
Added 2023-08-05 09:58:31 +0000 UTCWe are halfway through the bulk of the side-POVs of Book 3. They officially 'end' at Chapter 170, from which moment onward the ration goes back to roughly 1 side-POV every 8 chapters or so.
I know some aren't fan of this choice and that's why I'm trying to soundboard your opinion here. I'll repeat the Poll at the last significant secondary POV at Chapter 169 to document any changing opinions.
But without further ado:
How much are you enjoying of the current frequent secondary POVs/subplots?
It's a relevant question for Book 4 (we are still inside Book 3 for roughly forty something chapters)

I enjoyed them at first but it feels like there’s way too many now. It’s been fun to read about Flam and Irene but I honestly couldn’t care about anyone else. That and these last 10 or so chapters have been me reading the first sentence of every paragraph and then skipping to the next, quite a bit of filler

2023-08-07 07:33:44 +0000 UTCFor me, and I would bet a lot of others, the POV chapters are good and add to the overall story but aren't liked because they seem to slow down the progress of the story even if they add nuance. We're at a stage where the MC is about to get a major power up so when a new chapter comes out and it's a side character, then there's a bit of a let down. This is just an effect of the webserial posting style. In a novel or when binge-reading it would be a positive. When waiting to see the training montage and duel, it's tough to stay excited.
