Added 2021-06-03 13:50:54 +0000 UTCI have to say I'm really surprised how you all reacted to my announcement that there will be a break from updating The Parity. I expected that (temporarily, I hoped) many of you cancel your subscriptions, and I was totally cool about that. I believe that there is some kind of agreement between us, and as I'm out for two months, I couldn't expect you would support me.
Well, already there are more supporters than in May. Wow.
It's not my first time in social media - I've had my fan page on Facebook since 2018 and channel on YouTube - and I generally meet nice people (and as I focus on the anthropology of death and the beliefs about the supernatural phenomena on folklore, it's quite surprising ;)). But I'm still stunned by how much you keep rewarding me. I don't talk only about money, however, money is important, of course, but your feedback is a real feel for me. There are especially important moments for me when trans people tell me that my game was a great experience for them. As I'm not an ordinary cis person, it's great praise for me as a writer that my creativity could serve the community which needs support.
And of course, your feedback about my English is very nice. It's really frustrating for me that my language level limits the narrative I want to tell. But I have conversations with a native speaker, so I hope that my English will only improve.
I keep comparing my game with similar projects that started at the end of 2020. And I have to say that The Parity is a success, however, it doesn't have the illustrations or the advanced gameplay.
