Devil In The Waters, Book 6, Chapter 9 (part 3)

There wasn’t an ounce of fat on Kimmy Chang’s body. His heart pounded for her.

The last hour of his life had probably been the most transformational. If there was anyone he could ever trust, it was this perfect woman.

She trotted a few steps behind him, heading off the pathway and down the trail to the beach. The muscles in her legs flexed, her hips swayed, the fine muscles of her narrow back rippled under her clear and lustrous skin. And her ass . . . A taut and high bouncing rump. It made him think of how she looked in high school. A nerd. Not unlike himself. Not so much a nerd, but demure. Timid. It was through other’s prism of understanding that would have deemed them nerds. And, as much as his teenage lust drove him to Kimmy, he couldn’t deny there was a certain feeling of second place. Or hell, third place, or not even finishing.

Josh Waters in high school was not the kind of guy who would’ve scored with a girl like Tiffany Hanson. Not one of the other cheerleaders, either, or one of those big-makeup sly-eyed bitches who vaped. Those hot pieces of teenage ass were best left for guys like Devlin Stone; guys who were tall and masculine and played sports. Guys who had super-rich parents. So, he’d often thought those girls weren’t for him, and he would have to find his place with a nerd like Kimmy Chang. What a fucking idiot he was.

This girl trotting in front of him was the most insanely hot woman he ever knew. Didn’t even realize it when he married her. She was smart and funny. Beautiful. Came from a good home. She was driven, and had leveraged her innate abilities into a high-paying career. Made more than he made. She was worth every penny. But more than all that, she understood him.

But then again, now here he was visualizing his amazing wife through the perspective of another.

Did Kimmy suddenly have more value to him because Devlin saw it as well? What a shitty thing to think, what a terrible way for your mind to work.

But it was true. All this time he’s thinking that Kimmy’s sexuality is coming out because she’d been aroused by Devlin, but maybe (like she’d said) it was from him. He was more attracted to her because he was driven mad by a jealous rage these days. And that jealous rage came from a guy who would have barely looked at Kimmy Chang in high school. But holy shit did Devlin Stone see the value in Kimmy Chang now. Kimmy Waters, that is.

But this trip to Cayman had solidified his heart. No more of that wasteful thinking. Browbeating himself.

Watching her butt bounce under the tight constraint of her satiny black bikini bottom, he felt a thousand miles and years transported from that night he’d secretively snuck into the city and skulked around the Royal York Hotel to catch her in the act. And he’d wanted to catch her. What an odd obsession.

And on cue, they emerged into the bright sunlight and out from the canopy of shade under the colonnade of Caribbean brush. Underneath his thoughts as he descended the trail, a growing dreadful angst had tightened his chest. Would they emerge in the sunlight to find Devlin walking around naked with that big disgusting dick flopping between his legs?

Kimmy had seen it. Kimmy had seen what a big penis looked like. A really big penis. It didn’t look like anything she’d seen before, he imagined. Heavy but soft, a thick sleeve of wrinkled skin that bunched around the large shape of his cock head. It had beat against his thighs as he walked. And Kimmy saw it.

Shoot, if his erection wasn’t throbbing harder. But out in the sunlight now, despite the fear, he didn’t feel relieved. Devlin wore his trunks.

But it didn’t defeat his spirit. He smiled the boastful smile of a man who just fucked a hot girl. Like teenage Josh would have if he’d scored with Tiffany at a party, he showed Devlin a brash and exuberant expression. He wanted there to be no doubt in Devlin’s mind about what he and Kimmy’d had just engaged in.

“Hey, hey,” he said, “sorry about that. Kimmy had a lot more to tell me than she anticipated.” He hoped his cheeks were red from the sex, and didn’t even care that his erection showed in his trunks. He touched Kimmy’s face and she turned her eyes away, bashful. Yep, there would be no doubt in Devlin’s mind whether they’d fucked. They definitely had. And it had been good. Probably even better than a guy like Devlin could have anticipated from Josh. He liked to say to this guy who’d haunted his thoughts for the last few months that anything he thought he held over Josh Waters would blow away—like a hand thought to be clenching a weapon, the hand would open and a stiff breeze would blow away only dust. Fuck Devlin.

Kimmy said, “Sorry about that, we got carried away.”

“Don’t mind me,” Devlin said, “I’m enjoying the sea.”

Josh said, “You swim out to Cuba and back already?”

Devlin said, “Cuba?”

Josh pointed out to the water and said, “It’s straight out that way.” Idiot.

Devlin said, “No, swam out pretty far though. Saw some dolphins.”

Kimmy brightened. “You did not.”

“They were close to me,” Devlin said, looking over her shoulder, the act of twisting getting the muscles of his stomach to flex. And for the strangest reason, he hoped now that Kimmy had seen it— And holy shit, could she not see the outline of Devlin’s cock right now . . .?

His eyes shifted to Kimmy, and she did indeed see it. A tubular shape humped out between Devlin’s legs and angled down below the crotch of his shorts. That sagging slab of man flesh was partly aroused. And now Josh couldn’t wait to get Kimmy alone again so he could tease her. Tell her: Looks like Devlin was hard under the water. He got hard looking at your fucking amazing body half naked in the sun. What can the guy do, he’s only a human?

And now a smile spread. Devlin saw it. A twinkle in Devlin’s devilish eyes brought the first return of his anxiety. Devlin wasn’t threatened. He didn’t look defeated. He looked happy.

Devlin said, “They were about fifty yards out from me. I only saw their dorsal fins, until one raised up out of the water.”

Kimmy said, “You sure it wasn’t sharks?”

Devlin said, “For a sec I thought I was in trouble, but no, definitely dolphins. I was relieved when I saw that one crest out of the water.”

“I wish I’d been here,” Kimmy said.

And there was another dent in Josh’s new armor. Would she prefer to be down here watching dolphins with Devlin?

Shit, Josh, was she going to have to hold your hand through this every day?

Now he smiled again. No. It was on him now to make this work. And what a fucking gift. This guy right in front of them, the guy who taunted him all those years ago—who’d made his high school life miserable, had fucked with him at a house party ten years after graduation—thought he had the upper hand. But Josh had the upper hand. Josh had him beat.

He stretched now, stepped back to the lounge chair, picked up the decanter of single malt, and poured himself a short glass. He took a sip, and enjoyed it. He liked bourbon. Single malt was in the same family. A little peaty, sure, but what the hey, this was probably pretty expensive and every dollar of it came in some way from Devlin Stone’s pocket. Or his father’s.

He put the glass down and said, “I think I worked up an appetite,” and then looked to Kimi. I set you up, baby . . .

Kimmy said, “Me too. I’m hungry as well,” and stepped closer to Devlin.

Devlin said, “My offer stands. I was gonna take you out for dinner. You guys didn’t want me.”

Josh,” Kimmy said in a pleading sort of voice, the points of her eyebrows tenting her smooth brow. A wife asking for her husband’s permission.

His heart beat strong. He said, “You know what? I think I’d like that.”

Kimmy pivoted, swinging herself to pivot on her toes, digging them into the sand and swishing toward Devlin. Her arms went behind her back, and her chest thrust out.

The way Devlin’s eyes dipped downward to Kimmy’s pointed B cups was like a caress on his balls. He gulped air straight into his stomach; the sight was powerful. Kimmy’s nipples pressed out the fabric of her bikini, and the sun cast shadows to pronounce them.

Josh’s mouth sagged open. Devlin straight-up looking at Kimmy Chang’s tits. And Kimmy standing right next to him, the musclebound hunk who’d just taken his shorts down to show off the big dick he had. Husband-and-wife working against the world’s biggest asshole.

Josh set himself down to sit on the lounger and crossed his legs to hide the bulge in his swim trunks. He showed Devlin how relaxed he was, melting his bare back against the lounger, and slumping low in it; a man without worry.

He said, “I think it’s a good idea. You going to take us out for dinner tonight, Devlin?”

Beside oblivious Devlin, Kimmy smiled deviously.

Cruising along nicely here. Well done. It’s clear where it’s going and then it’s not clear where it’s going. So...perfect. Given Josh’s deep love and blind trust for Kimmy her betrayal is profound indeed. Can’t wait for the Kimmy POV. It’s going to be smoking hot.

Kimmy and Devlin have plan this out...on the way there...it. Is very clear...Josh is in for a world of hurt...this is the quiet before the storm...Devlin is not acting normal to his character...Kimmy is setting Josh up...leading the calf to slaughter. Walking to his own hanging...
