SUMMER SWAP // Chapter 23
Added 2022-02-16 01:00:00 +0000 UTCTen minutes later, she found the nerve to take off her bikini—but she wanted to be asked to do it. She would throw the ball as best she could between Philippe and Cody and then watch them haul ass through the water to get to it first. Then they’d sometimes wrestle for the ball, but not too earnestly because they were both naked. The one with the ball would get close to the floating trampoline and she would go to the edge and hold out her hands. The other one would try to block while the thrower would lob the squishy orange football high in a gentle arc, so it would be easy for her to catch. She knew they would watch her bounce around in her bikini when her eyes turned up to track the ball. Worse: she found it arousing knowing they did.
Now she didn’t throw the ball, instead tucking it under an arm and approaching the edge, her feet curling over the trampoline’s inflated lip. Cody and Philippe swam close, and she said, “Let’s switch. One of you has to catch now.”
Cody nodded his head for Philippe to mount the trampoline, and then said to Cheyenne, “Hope you don’t think I’m going to go easy on you.”
Philippe climbed up and stood next to her, water sloughing off his bulk, a steady stream twirling to the trampoline mat from the oversized bulb-end of his monster penis. She handed him the ball and said to Cody, “And I hope you know I play dirty.” She dove headfirst into the water, then shot straight up, bursting up at the side of the trampoline. Cody bobbed nearby behind her, and Philippe loomed naked above her. Neither of them asked her to go naked, so she folded her arms behind her back while her legs kicked to keep her afloat. She untied the bikini top’s knot, then took the top off. Cody wolf-whistled and Philippe clapped with the ball squeezed against his ribs underneath an elbow.
“Atta girl! Somebody’s getting into the spirit,” Cody cheered.
She said, “If you get rough with me trying to get the ball, I don’t want to lose my top to the lake bottom if it comes off.” With a quick flutter kick, she bobbed higher and tossed the soaking bra onto the trampoline. Phillipe saw her breasts.
Cody said, “At least you’re halfway there now. And who says I’d be rough with you?”
She said, “Who said I was only halfway there?”
Now, with her eyes locked on Cody, she began the less-than-graceful act of treading water while scooting off her bikini bottoms. The fresh cold water chilled her hottest place—and she knew the heat flared from an odd sexual arousal from the exhibitionism in front of these two male friends. Both of them were handsome, both of them with hot and masculine bodies, both of them supremely hung. They were unafraid to disrobe and let the world see what they’d been blessed with. And it thrilled her to witness what they had.
Cody had about the most picture-perfect penis she’d ever seen. The guy could pose in Playgirl. The body, the hair, the face, the equipment. Penises were rarely attractive—like, look at that gnarly, uncircumcised flesh-yam between Philippe’s legs—but Cody’s had a before-unseen balance and proportion. Not too long, not too thick, a sheath of unblemished cock skin, and a large and handsomely flared glans.
Now she produced from under the water her bikini bottoms, twirling them on an index finger and showing Cody an unwavering self-assuredness. You didn’t think I had the nerve, huh? She tossed the bottoms onto the inflatable beside her tangled top, then swam past Cody like she didn’t even notice him. Behind her, Philippe laughed and Cody joined in.
About twenty feet out from the inflatable, she stopped and paddled to face it. Cody swam her way and Philippe walked along the edge of the trampoline, tossing the ball up in the air and catching it while he waited for them to get ready. The sun gleamed on his wet body, his bulky muscle and flat stomach. His penis was a red-brown brick of flesh below the black scrabble of his pubic hair. She’d burst out laughing when he’d showed it to her in the small confine of the bathroom, her standing there like a rube, holding a toilet paper tube dwarfed by his flaccid penis. She’d held it near, and covered her mouth, laughing, her cheeks blazing. He’d said, “What do you think? Will it fit?” She’d said, “It looks like your dick could eat the tube for dinner.” Then Philippe had laughed, took the tube from her and snuggled it inside his foreskin. He rolled his penis’s generous flesh sleeve halfway down the tube, then he let it go, his penis dangling between his legs, the toilet tube gripped in place by his foreskin till it finally fell free to the floor. That was it, though. They both cackled drunkenly, then Philippe pulled up his shorts, and they talked awhile.
Eyes up on the yacht’s top level, Chey scanned for any sign of Byron waking and searching for her. This was just a bit of fun, but Byron could get jealous sometimes. So far, no sign of him. She hoped he was having a good nap because she didn’t want this to end just yet.
Cody joined her, swimming to her side, saying, “You ready for some rough play?”
“You said you’d be gentle,” she said.
“I never said anything like it. It was you saying I was going to be rough.”
“Oh, so I was right? Fine by me.” She made clawed hands and showed him her nails. Cody regarded her in comical underwhelm.
Her eyes watched Philippe who prepared to throw the ball, arm craned back, muscular body stretched and glistening in the sun, penis swinging. Then he launched the ball. It arced high, and in her periphery she saw Cody begin to swim backward. Cheyenne spun and side-stroked hard, going out ten yards before flipping to her back. The ball splatted the water very near her face and she howled at the close call. Cody scrambled her way, and she launched after the pink ball bobbing on the waves a quick arm’s length away. Before he came near, she had the ball, grabbing it and hugging it to her naked chest. Cody’s hand gripped her ankle, and she yelped and swallowed water. Her head went under and Cody’s other hand grabbed the same leg just above the knee. The feel of his strong grip above her knee (basically under her skirt if she were dressed) got her hauling in another snootful of water. Her knees clamped closed with the sudden automatic protection of her sex. A swirling and sickly knot slithered below her stomach. Cody pulled his body over hers, hugging arms around her. She clamped both her thighs around his thigh now, making them both sink. His penis squashed on her leg, Cody tickled fingertips on her ribs and she squawked out a torrent of bubbles. The ball shot out of her clutch, between her breasts and making a beeline to the surface. Cody pushed her under the water and swam over her, his genitals dragging over face.
When she surfaced and cleared her eyes, Phillipe jumped on the trampoline to catch the ball. Cody swirled to face her. “One-nothing,” he said.
She said, “Don’t ever push your dick into my face again.”
Cody’s bright smile faded, and he looked frightened that she was serious.
She hand-shoveled a fan of water into his face, laughing, then saying, “You do it again and I’ll bite it off.”
Cody laughed too, bobbing away. His eyes were still on hers and he showed a certain measure of concern. “You’re cool, right?”
“Cool as a cucumber, hombre,” she answered.
Cody smiled, and she liked the relief in his eyes. “I’m not going to go easy on you just because you’re a girl and you’re naked.”
“Deal. I won’t go too hard on you just ‘cause you’re a dumb boy and you’re naked.”
“We’re going to take it up a notch?”
She smiled. “Watch your back, handsome.”
Philippe shouted to them: “I need some space between you two or one of you is getting a wet Nerf off the forehead.”
They’d drifted closer without her realizing. She splashed water at him again and launched rearward, letting Cody see her exposed full-frontal nudity come close to the surface. Ten yards apart, she faced Philippe again, raising her hands and waving them, encouraging him to throw it closer to her. This time Philippe threw the ball short and both she and Cody had to haul ass to greet it. The ball smacked the surface and this time it was Cody getting to it first. She swam right on top of him as he clutched the ball. She swung a forearm around his neck and hooked her legs around his front, her heels sliding in between his legs. It sunk them. Cody writhed in her grip and she almost burst out laughing. The ball let go and batted her in the face on its way to the surface. She released Cody and scrambled after it. Before she could put her hands on it, Cody had his hands on her, grabbing her leg, then hugging her waist. His chin pushed between her butt cheeks and she bawled laughter out to the blue sky, trying not to take in water. Then he pushed her away and grabbed the ball. But as he tried to throw it to Philippe, she wrapped both arms around his, pulling him and the ball backward. The ball fell from his hand and she grabbed it. Cody scrambled onto her back and she spun. Now they were face to face and one thing was certain: Cody had an erection. It poked between her thighs, the tip coming close to where it shouldn’t be, and she squirmed. Now his hardness pressed into her belly. She rolled away. Now his cock was in her ass, its cold, turgid belly pressing between her cheeks the way his chin had done. This time, she didn’t laugh. The humor had been crushed by some brand new feeling she recognized and didn’t like. Cody turned her on. Cody aroused her. She wanted to fuck Cody. Never in her life had she ever cheated or even come close to cheating on a boyfriend.
“Whoah, woah, woah,” she said. “Time out, time out.”
Cody let her go, and she faced him, both of them bobbing in the waves and looking at each other, chins under the surface. Cody looked like he knew he was in trouble.
Then she swam back a few yards, turned and threw the ball to Philippe, who caught it.
Cody laughed now, seeing her smile return. “I thought you were mad at me. Turns out you’re just a cheater.”
“I’m a cheater. Me?”
“You played me.”
“You played yourself, son,” she said, then shouted to Philippe: “Hey ref, I need a call.” Philippe asked her what it was.
“What are the rules on brandishing a weapon?”
Philippe frowned, cupped his hands to his mouth, and hollered, “Who has the weapon?”
Cheyenne chuckled and back paddled away from Cody. “One-one, cowboy.”
Cody smiled at her, and the look in his eyes drove her wild. Now he knew she knew he was hard, and she still wanted to play.
But this wasn’t play anymore, and she wondered how that could be okay.
No, despite that hungry feeling and the fast rate of her pulse, it was still just play. That’s all it was. And she loved it.

I like the part of this discussion when she said there's a chapter being put out tonight

2022-02-17 22:37:57 +0000 UTCNo, I think I should intro the chapter better so it's clear this is a first-person recounting of the events. I think I've figured it out for tonight's chapter and when I put the book together I'll organize the viewpoints a little more obviously. I think some confusion is expected. but you're right: if you were reading this straight through it might make more sense that it's a flashback. The long gap between chapters changes your mind's perspective.

2022-02-17 18:53:20 +0000 UTCNot at all—I love the discussion! And this is a great summary of how to approach this. It's an overall aftertaste and feeling of enjoyment, not the play-by-play (though I also love the nitpicking of the play-by-play-too)

2022-02-17 18:51:18 +0000 UTCKT: Don't let my comments about being disappointed make it seem like i'm not enjoying this. I LOVE the "interpretation" aspect, as you put it, that you've come up with here. There are SO many points where you have Byron's perspective, the things Chey has said, and then later you get reactions that make you go... hmmmm. Like, why the hell did Chey completely freak out with a panic attack with Scarlett? She hasn't done anything to have warranted that. Right? Right?! Unless..... hmmm.... she wasn't telling the whole truth? And then you get to ponder.... and the thrill of seeing how far that rabbit hole goes. I may have setup some assumptions in my head that aren't bearing out and leaving me disappointed as i stated, but that should in no way be imparted as i think this is bad! It's very good! We always have things in a book where we wish the author did something different to match up to our perception of what is "good". But if the book still makes you smile when you read the last page.... mission accomplished! Like with Late Night Games. Woosh, that was rough... but that last chapter conversation, so awesome!

2022-02-17 13:48:35 +0000 UTCJames: I agree with you on most of this. I just like having lighthearted "fun" with some angst every once in a while to balance out the egregious (great word there!) of things like Devils. This is all speculation at this point, i was merely pointing out that my speculation based on the last couple of chapters didn't jive with my initial speculation of what i thought this would be, and it was leaving me thinking i'm going to be disappointed. In this case, that disappointment is because i thought we'd have something more along the lines of "One of the Gang" where it's all out in the open, nothing hidden that provokes a statement like "Well, looks like we got away with it". I'm a sucker for a good love story, even when that love story includes cheating and betrayal followed by tears and make up sex. It's sort of a sliding scale, just as you noted? There's a level of cheating or lying by omission that you gloss over as "acceptable" because you love the emotional spice it adds, but for me there's a line it crosses where then i WANT someone who is in Byron's position to know what is going on because who really wants to be the duped fool in that position? For me, i much prefer the knowing, the heartache that comes from knowing, and then a willful decision to overlook it because the male character loves her enough for it to not matter. Plus there's a twisted part of him that enjoys it, which makes it a bit easier to accept the betrayal.

2022-02-17 13:04:40 +0000 UTCThanks for clearing that up guys. I didn’t realise it was a flashback so I was confused by the dynamics between them thinking it was after Cody and Cheyenne had been together. I’m a dim wit but in my defence it was a while since the last chapter. Loving the story. Light or dark I love everything kt writes, if not always on the first read. Kt says her men are shoulder shruggers, but I think some of them were weak. I like when the boyfriend/husbands are strong of character, then light or dark doesn’t matter. I want to beat the weak ones over the head and tell to wake up!

2022-02-17 11:59:12 +0000 UTCThanks again KT for retrieving this! Here's my message earlier in reply to L_S87. No apology necessary, I mainly wanted to point to my rationale as to why I felt the way I did. Thinking about why I was confused about the timeline had me thinking another reason was KT keeping in her classic 3rd person limited pov, which I really wanted this moment to be written out in, but didn't come across as being told to Scarlett like this. I think dim bulbs like myself would benefit from a couple lines (maybe I overlooked these) which make it clear this is Cheyenne telling a story. Or she can do it however she wants to do it, or not listen to me! I don't find this story particularly dark. When I think of a dark story I think of lies and acts of betrayal, certainly, but they have to be pretty egregious before I start having THAT feeling in my gut. It could be desensitization to these stories though so I might not be a good barameter for this anymore. Like did Cheyenne lie about thinking about fucking Cody before Byron and Cheyenne talked about it, yeah I think so. However, i also don't know if Byron wasn't already aware that she might have thought he was attractive, and in the end, Cheyenne is in control of her emotions. It's catching feelings along with the lies and betrayal that starts to move the darkness needle for me. A couple lies by omission where the means result in ends where both the hubby and wife are comfortable really doesn't ring too dark to me. And I think that's where we are currently at in this story.

2022-02-17 03:14:09 +0000 UTCMy hubbies are all shoulder shruggers, ha ha. I can't think of writing any revenge in my past books. Kind of in "Going Too Far," but that was a weird book. I think the closest I got was Pete Mapplethorpe doing some dick-detective and finding dirt on Tyler, then standing up to the dude in his own home (Learning Lessons).

2022-02-17 02:45:24 +0000 UTCjust giving my two cents on the lighter/darker question. I am always one for darker.. There has to be some amount of dark or else there is no drama or intrigue. That being said I think it’s a spectrum and each story should find it’s own level. I have to say this was by far my favorite chapter of the story (and I certainly hope something happens between Chey and Cody (and or Phillipe) that Byron doesn’t know about.. Otherwise I don’t see the point in rehashing old events. personally, and I know I’m a broken record with Devil but the best point of view in these stories is always from the hotwife/cheating wife. If I had to critique anything it’s that we had to wait til chapter 20+ to get to what Chey has been up to. we can get to Bryon’s angst later, once it’s justified.

KT Morrison
2022-02-16 15:35:24 +0000 UTCFunny you mention that. Up until these last couple of chapters, i would have pegged Scarlett as the cheating type more than Chey. Which does beg the question of how much BS was in Scarlett's depiction of her perceived place in all this, and just how offended she really was at being left out. (Given her reaction and then lie to Sully after finding out what was going on)
L_S87
2022-02-16 14:49:34 +0000 UTCHmmm, less about preference and more about.... framing? Two of my favorites from you are Reza and Devil in the Waters. Obviously quite dark, with a lot of cheating and betrayal. My comment on disappointment was that i think i recall your past comments regarding this book being more about loving w/ angst and it had me thinking this was more lighthearted (Sort of like One of the Gang or Sadie as you stated) where there's some emotional distress (tempered by love), but no outright cheating and deception. It's sort of a balance thing? You have something dark like Devils that absolutely plucks you because of how much pain you know Kimmy's actions are going to bring, and then you get something that isn't clean, but is balanced with love to lighten things up a bit. I'm only one opinion among many, of course, so don't let me change anything. This is probably me "projecting" (LOL) my interpretation of what i thought this would be vs. the reality of it. I will say that a good makeup is always enjoyable as well. So if we were to get Chey coming clean (whether forced to or by choice) followed by some hurt and angst then love and acceptance... well... i'd be smiling.
L_S87
2022-02-16 14:37:25 +0000 UTCL_S87: this is really interesting. You would prefer the story to be lighter or more joyous? People responded so well to High Stakes Sadie, and yet my reputation is to be a dark writer. I should run a poll and see if readers like Dark KT or Light KT. I'd really love to know what everyone thinks.

2022-02-16 12:49:29 +0000 UTCReframing these updates as Scarlett getting the full details of the last 24 hours is interesting. Definitely goes to show how much Cheyenne trusts her considering she seems to be getting the unfiltered truth. It makes me wonder how Scarlett plays into this story, not necessarily as a swapped partner but advisor/cheerleader?
JamesIsAsleep
2022-02-16 12:32:37 +0000 UTCJames: Sorry, i apologize, wasn't trying to imply you were bashing, just that it was clear to me, if not others. A simple "This is what happened" from Chey would probably clear that up. And yep, I had a theory that the "we got away with it" conversation had nothing to do with the condom thing. Especially in context of Cheys almost lack of a reaction to Byron's admission of what Clara did. We shall see, won't we? I will be honest that if it goes as far as I'm thinking, I'd be a bit disappointed because now it feels more like cheating and betrayal than love and angst.

2022-02-16 11:28:37 +0000 UTCCody has a big ole projection namsayin?
JamesIsAsleep
2022-02-16 04:41:06 +0000 UTCL_S87: Cheyenne's got some projection for sure—and maybe something else, too!
KT Morrison
2022-02-16 04:32:35 +0000 UTCI mean, I'm not bashing her about it, I just originally thought this was after the conversation with Scarlett. It made sense to me ... of course they would go back out on the water together and probably do exactly what they did the day before, what else do when you are out on a houseboat for days on end? It took some specific reactions from Cheyenne and how she talked about Byron napping for me to realize it wasn't a continuation of events but rather a flashback.
JamesIsAsleep
2022-02-16 04:30:41 +0000 UTCHonestly, I thought it was pretty obvious from the chapter before with Scarlet's request/demand and then the segue to the pool scene. It's also making Chey's extreme jealousy a lot more clear. What we have here is a boat load of projection given what she's been lying through omission about.
L_S87
2022-02-16 04:06:11 +0000 UTCSorry about the confusion! I'll tighten it up when I compile the book. This chapter is Chey telling Scarlet what happened. (And always a favorite gif!)

2022-02-16 03:57:20 +0000 UTCI think I just finally realized Cheyenne is talking about the day before ... I am so glad we got to experience this moment from her perspective and fill in some knowledge gaps. This kind of stuff I love to read so much. And I'm sure a lot of people love the denial elements of switching perspectives, the unsolved mystery ... Like Byron waking up after his nap and looking down and seeing his naked SO swimming with some hunks and getting lost in the speculation as to what happened in the interim ... Me, I want to know everything haha We learned so much about Cheyenne's showing off and wandering eyes, how much she can hang with the bros, her ability to dance around the edges of infidelity, and most of all how much Cody (in particular) caught her eye before any conversations with Byron were had. I wonder if Cody always rubs his naked cock on every girl he wants to involve in Carla and his' swinging relationship. Interesting strategy. https://giphy.com/gifs/giphyqa-GW0qlzAvWK3pm
