A Dragon Gnawing Its Tail (Announcement)

Very rough (and tentative) summary: Hiero awakens five hundred years after his alleged death. Legends speak of the victory over the Blighted Multitude. But legends couldn’t be further from the truth. From a world of war, he awakens in a world of peace. Does he still have a place in it? Follow him and several people in discovering that as the ancient hero awakens, the ancient evil also does. And the stories might be wrong which is which.

When I started my writing journey, I had no idea what I was doing. Seven years later (and about a break of five years), with hopefully more experience, I will attempt my original plan of writing epic fantasy and revive the first story I've written. I'm taking concepts and characters from my old novel into this new one. This is almost a 100% rewrite. Pacing-wise and writing-wise, this will be more like a book, different from web/light novels. It also won’t use the usual web novel tropes. For example, if this was a web novel, we’re going to start with either a prologue giving the background or the main character waking up in the present. And even in terms of fantasy books, this will be different because of the protagonist. Chapter 1 already hints at what he is like.

For now, Patreon will be one chapter ahead of RoyalRoad (I'll hopefully release it on RR/SH in a week). I aim to have a chapter per week release. My short-term plan is to have the lower tier have one advanced chapter and the higher tier have two. As you read it, you'll see that ADGIT will be a way more complex story to write (in a technical sense and a plot sense) and will have way longer chapters too, so I don't want to push a lot of advanced chapters, sacrificing the quality. The story is the priority for me. It's a free addition to the tiers anyway.
