Updates and Plans

Due to health issues, I cancelled Smite Happens, which was supposed to start its public release last month. It's mostly the consequences of years of stressful work and an unhealthy lifestyle catching up with me. High blood pressure and those sorts of problems. I'm taking meds and trying to live healthily so that REND will continue until the end. That said, a side effect of the medication is that I become lightheaded/fog-brained, which affects my writing. You may have noticed that I sometimes don't finish sentences, or my sentences are really wonky. I appreciate the help in pointing those out. I've also cut down my writing time to rest more.

We'll prioritize REND and also ExD. I'll leave plans to write a new story for a future time, when I'm healthier. Hopefully, by the end of January, I'll be able to complete these goals for our Patreon:

Manifested: 25 advanced REND chapters, 10 advanced ExD chapters

Seeded: 10 advanced REND chapters, 5 advanced ExD chapters

That's our short-term Patreon benefits targets. Book 2 is expected to conclude for the Manifested Tier around January or early February. Our goal for 2026 is to finish Book 5. Quite a lofty one. We'll increase the tier benefits some more, and I’ll aim to have 1 ExD chapter each week next year. The ExDxM plotline there will be interesting.

I'm really, really grateful for your financial support. A lot of challenges came my way in the past few months. Not counting my health issues, earthquakes and typhoons wrecked my country. To be candid, money helped a lot in these trying times. Once again, thank you very much for being my patrons.

Comments

I'm working to get healthier because I also want to keep writing haha. As for the natural disasters, my country is just that unlucky. I'll leave writing another book for the future. My side project will just be the occassional ExD chapters.

Temple (REND)

I hope you get better, and your side of the planet stops trying to expolde. In regards to smitte happens, i think it is better to focus on one book, rather than writing two or more at the same time. But the good thing is you can still write a chapter for it when inspiration strikes or you need a palette cleansing.
