NAKED JUSTICE 2 - Shaded Sketch!

I have a new Shaded Sketch for you this evening... and this one is BYRON as the all-new and very controversial NAKED JUSTICE 2.
Why controversial, you may ask? Well, let's just say that when Byron took up the mantle of NJ from FELIX, not all Class Comics fans were overjoyed.
Some worried that this would be the end of the original Naked Justice, and others stated no one but Felix would EVER be Naked Justice in their eyes. And then there were the more forward and, to put it mildly, "unsavory" comments regarding Byron's new role.
In the end, I just had to remind myself that you can't please everybody, and while I respect (most) everyone's opinions, I can't create based on the wants and desires of others... I can only do what feels right for my Universe and put that out there as best I can.
Byron's a true hero. He's someone who fights for those who can't and he would sacrifice himself in a heartbeat to save another. If anyone in the entire Class Comics universe is worthy of the mantle, it's absolutely HIM!
Of course, Felix Himner still exists. He's still out there somewhere, and Byron's new role doesn't mean that suddenly Felix has to stop being Naked Justice. You get the sense that the title of "Naked Justice" can apply to many -- to those who are just and brave and fight for the rights of others.
So while I still sometimes miss seeing Byron as SPACE CADET, I couldn't be more proud of the hero he's become.

But you know, I've pushed those comments out of my mind, and what counts for me is that I love Byron deeply and that I am super proud of this character and what he stands for. I think most fans will eventually come around to seeing how well Byron suits the mantle of NJ. In the meantime, I will just keep on making comics and writing his adventures, and hopefully, people will become less resistant to his new role. 2018-03-28 00:48:17 +0000 UTCI love Byron as the new Naked Justice, and I love how the role of NJ has evolved over the years. Nothing necessarily against Felix, but Byron is an excellent NJ, and more than worthy of carrying the mantle. I'm sad for people who can't see that.
