Pledge and payment processing issues.

Hello, Everyone!

I just got word that a lot of people are having problems with their pledge this month! It seems that Patreon has made a change to their billing system and a lot of transactions got flagged as fraudulent by the banks. YIKES!

If this happened to you, you probably got an email explaining things. You’ll need to contact your credit card company and let them know Patreon is an OK transaction, and then have Patreon re-process your pledge from your account page. Sorry for the extra work, Guys. This is completely outta my hands, unfortunately. 

Also, please note that this will in no way impact the JULY 2018 rewards... which I am almost ready to send out. I'll keep you posted.

Oh, first time I hear there was a problem. I hope it's okay now. No patrons of mine seemed to have any trouble, ouf !

I honestly don't know, Xander. Patreon handles all the billing. None of that goes through the artist's hands, so unfortunately, I don't know if this hiccup can have repercussions in other ways. But I would recommend you contact your bank in order to sort out the situation with your card. Sometimes banks can temporarily freeze accounts after a weird transaction just to play it safe. Hopefully the issue can be resolved quickly. Best of luck with all of that... I know it's areal pain. Meanwhile, I appreciate your patience with the Patreon side of things.

Is it possible this locked down my debit card? I suddenly can't buy anything despite my card info not changing and plenty of money in my acount.

I'm glad I could shed a little light on this, Johnny. It was a little puzzling to me at first to see how almost all my Patrons were being flagged as "declined"! O.O So yeah, this time, it wasn't your bank, thank goodness!

That explains why my payment didn't go through. I had assumed my bank was being stupid again (it wouldn't be the first, second, or even third time).
