JON DAZY - Shaded Sketch!

Today, I'm serving a new SHADED SKETCH of "pre-shoulder tattoo" JON DAZY!
Jon's not a good guy, but he's not completely bad. There's a little side of him that wants to be good... but it's very small.
The character dates back to the early 1990's, if you can believe it, and he made his debut in my GUARDIANS OF THE CUBE series where he traumatized poor DIABLO. Nowadays, you can find him making trouble in the BRIGAYDE series, getting it on with DEVILHOUND.
I hope you'll enjoy this sketchy look at him. I wanted him to have a defiant attitude, to convey that he's not a conventional guy, so I hope that came through! XD

2018-06-09 00:51:50 +0000 UTCAwww -- thank you so very kindly, Arkid43! I'm thrilled you like him so much. I tends to just go where the inspiration takes me with the shaded sketches. Sometimes that means I tweak the look of the characters a bit. With Jon, I think it was about refining how I personally draw him. He's usually seen drawn by the wonderful David Cantero, and David draws him beautifully, but it occurred to me that I don't have a definitive "look" for Jon when I draw him myself. All that to say this is what happened. HA HA HA! As for the shaded sketch style, it is certainly evolving, and as you'll see with the new KING DEIMOS, I'm applying that form of sketching to comics as well, now. I think more and more people are enjoying Jon's stint in the book because it's the first "three dimensional" look of him we've ever gotten. I love that you're enjoying him more and more, my friend. Thank you so much. Also, for some reason, his pose reminds me of you... I think it's the way you often have your arms crossed in photos! 😄😄
