As promised, a shaved variant of the GAY FOR SLAY #1 cover art! ISAIAH sure looks sexy rockin' his big throbbing boner, waiting for CROWLEY to take him.
Honestly, I toyed with a ton of different cover concepts for the first issue, but I kept coming back to that moment in which our hero meets Crowley. I really wanted to convey an air of suspense and mystery with this cover, and give it a more "thriller/horror" tone than your typical Class Comics first issue cover art.
In any case, I'm pretty pleased with how it all came together. The book is at press now and should be available through the Class Comics website in the next few weeks or so, but I wanted you all to see the cover art before the rest of the world does.
Besides... Isaiah's beautiful bubble butt's always worth another look at, dontcha think? LOL!
There's a shaved version of his ass coming up next, for those of you who prefer your demon hunters smooth and clean shaven!

I think it will be really interesting to see where Isaiah goes as a character. I often say I let my characters "guide and decide" where they want to go, and that really just means that I listen to the muse when I write them. I want them to feel three dimensional and well rounded, but I also like the idea that they are not all the same types of guys. With Isaiah, I think I have a real opportunity to portray something I haven't necessarily done before. It's very exciting, and who knows -- he may even inspire me to create other characters, as complex as he is, who aren't necessarily what might be considered "traditionally Gay". Thanks again so much for sharing your thoughts on all of this. ❤️❤️

I admit, I'm especially proud of Isaiah and the character he's turning out to be. I love that you feel he provides a different voice and that he portrays a different, maybe less visible aspect of Homosexuality. That's a wonderful compliment, I must say. I agree with you, too. While all of this is very new to Isaiah, what's kinda nice about him is that he's openly willing to explore these new feelings of his, even if they are confusing and maybe even a bit scary to him. He's doing it with no judgment toward himself, in that respect, and I guess that can be pretty refreshing. In any case, Isaiah's adventures are just beginning, and he's only just discovering all these amazing new aspects of himself, both sexually, and in terms of his powers... I think we're going to have a lot of fun with him down the road. Thank you again so much for taking the time to write. I really adored your thoughts on all of this!! XOXO 😘😘

I definitely wanted to strike that balance between "sinister and hot", and I'm super pleased you feel I did that. I think the image will whet people's appetite and make them want to read the story inside the comic, too. It can be a bit deceiving to see Isaiah wait passionately for the demon to come to him(which can be a nice thing for a cover too), but damn is it hot to look at! A hot stud waiting for red demon stallion in this scary scenario surely would make my blood boiling, and defiitely make me buy it ^^

Following Isaiah on that journey is quite exciting because it’s refreshing to witness it from the perspective Patrick has presented it... you are correct to point out that Isaiah isn’t a gay character, since he doesn’t identify himself as such, and respecting that is important. I’m a big fan regardless, and can’t wait to see how it works out... there is a vast amount of gay men who, while they identify as gay and are part of the community, happily live a gay life who choose to express their sexuality away from the lifestyle and have no desire to attend Atlanta pride... so to speak... it would be nice to have a character representing that part of the community as well.

Isiah seems to be a straight man that enjoys gay sex tremendously but hasn't quite accepted it yet, he's what I thought Bruno/Diablo was until the split. Isiah might be my fave of the new line of Classcomics heroes!

Naturally, every gay character finding a place in the world is welcome addition, but I’m glad to see a less stereotypical approach being taken, one that doesn’t necessarily portrays gay as in “Queer” oand/or gay as in “happy”... but rather gay as in “man tremendously enjoying having sex with other men, without disrespecting or shunning others for expressing their sexuality differently”.... and, also, thanks for putting that personality in a hunk with a delicious chocolate cake you jus want to have on your face that takes a huge pounding like a champion and that dick.... like... 😍😍😍 welcome anytime. Lol
