I've always adored his sequence in FANTASIA and I've been meaning to draw him for YEARS! My new Funko figure finally convinced me to do it, and all the while I worked on him, I listened to this incredible remix of "In the Hall of the Mountain King" on repeat, and I recommend you take a listen too, as you... you know... appreciate the artwork! LOL!
I realize that the piece in the film is different -- it's "Night on Bald Mountain" -- and while that works BEAUTIFULLY in the film, I've always felt "Mountain King" really suited CHERNABOG perfectly as well!
For my take on the character, I tried to keep much of his original esthetic while also "Fillionizing" him a little. I think the result is pretty cool! Also, I made you versions with and without the Ghosts! XD
Anyhow, there will be a full hardon version coming up later on this month... but for now, we'll start with these less hard-core nudes.
STAY TOONED, my friends... it's gonna be an AMAZING MONTH of art and comics!!!
