My feeling is that "there would be no curtains without properly built windows"! It's pretty much how I see inks and line art. There are a lot of artists out there who rely on color to make their work convincing, but I come from the (old) school of thought that line art should absolutely be able to stand on its own, first and foremost. Needless to say, I DEEPLY APPRECIATE that you feel this part of my work is solid. It really makes me SO HAPPY and you know, sometimes, I just need to hear (read) stuff like this. HA HA HA! Everything still has such voluminous shape; each scene carries momentum; there aren’t any areas that busily blend together; thoughts & feelings permeate every frame; you can look at your outlines and immediately have a solid understanding of what’s going on!!! Don’t get me wrong, I LOOOVE your finished pieces! Your use of color helps to bring each work into our [colorful] world. Your witty expressions tease [reveal & entice]. These versions would be more than enough, and yet you continue grace us with so much!!!
