Jungkook being the main vocalist is not just about the distribution of lines. That position carries a lot of responsibilities in the group. He has to do the guide tracks for almost all songs, do the adlibs , harmonization. He also fairly gets a lot of lines due to his stableness performing it while dancing. Despite all the members being excellent vocalists, he really deserves the position, along with RM as the main rapper. It’s crazy how he also is a sub-rapper. When members are absent, he mostly takes the responsibility to sing their parts, including the rap-line.

He is known for having the most stable live vocals while dancing at the same time. This position is extremely important and he has been reliable for the group since only 15 years old! 💜 I also recommend that you watch Jungkook’s live performance of “If You” on the “Masked Singer”. He helped to change the public perception of the group when they were known mostly for their dancing. That performance was a pivotal moment for BTS and it is because of the “Main Vocalist”, Jungkook, that the public started to pay attention to their vocal talents as well. 2021-06-30 05:08:53 +0000 UTCOut of the many many songs bts has there’s only a handful where JungKook does not have the most lines, but you’re right they are all fairly evenly placed. JungKooks “main vocal” position mostly comes from his contributions in the background such as singing vocal guides, adding ad libs and background/supporting vocals, and more than anything he has the most stable voice singing live (although they have all improved immensely)

For the lyric review, I would like to suggest apart from the album you would react to (Wings is a good option since it coincides with the docuseries), a lyric breakdown also for “Intro: Nevermind” (From HYYH Pt. 2), it was used in the docuseries too, Jimin got this tattoed along with Young Forever. Nevermind, listening to it and reading as it is already impactful the way the song speaks to me, when I was listening to the song again with its lyrics onscreen on the The Rise of Bangtan Ch.9, I’ve come to understand it in their POV and it made the meaning rise exponentially (it’s the same for a lot of their songs). Personally, I find home in their discography (i guess its the same with others), apart from telling their story and making an art, their songs sometimes calls you out, other times educates you, have fun with you, motivates you, and comforts you.

Thanks for another reaction, and if you want, when the documentaries are put on hold I think that a “Wings” lyric breakdown would be nice. Personally, I think it’s one of their most lyrically deep albums (even though all of them are) but this was the first time they really showed us their struggles. Though you haven’t reacted to the actual “Wings” album yet, so if you want to wait before doing a lyric breakdown then a “Love Yourself: Tear” lyric breakdown would also be nice since you’ve already listened to it! 😁

The Love Yourself trilogy is part of an overarching storyline going from Love yourself: her (falling in love), Love yourself: tear (break up) to the final story of Love yourself: answer (moral: you cannot love someone if you don't love yourself). For example, he always sings the background vocals and adlibs in every BTS song, he harmonises with everyone including the rappers, he can cover any of the other members if they're not able to perform, and he has the most stable and consistent vocals when performing live and dancing. Also he sings the guide tracks for every song, and is credited for the chorus in almost 200 BTS songs! And so much more. He's been doing all of that since he was 15, and his role is still as big and super important 😊 you should check out the video "Jungkook the main vocalist of BTS" by Ida S !! ❤ 😊

I would also second the suggestion to use doolsetbangtan for the lyrics. The next documentary and docuseries, Bring the Soul, chronicle their Love Yourself Tour, so perhaps you could follow that up with an album reaction/breakdown for Love Yourself: Answer. (Sorry, I tend to be a long-range planner, lol.)

You already reacted to Tear, so you might want to start with that, but I admit Answer is my favorite, and I'd love it if you do that too (not that Tear isn't amazing :)) For the translations - I suggest using "doolset bangtan" translations.
