I have never even thought about buying a dakimakura, I am quite particular with the way I sleep and anything other than a flat, hard pillow kills my neck..._:(Β΄ΰ½`γ β ):_
For me it is 100% cotton or BTFO...!
Synthetic fibers are uncomfortable, you get all sweaty and sometimes you get that weird static charge effect.
I suppose some manufacturers may have better materials than others, but for now my trusty old prison pillow is my faithful companion...!
