So many suggestions for the cast. Joaquin Phoenix: “Walk The Line” (plays Johnny Cash), “Gladiator” “Joker” “Her”. Mel Gibson: “Braveheart” “The Patriot”, he’s also a director “Apocalypto”. Abigail Breslin: “Little Miss Sunshine” “August: Osage County” (set in Oklahoma), “Zombieland”.

For Spooky Alien movies: Alien and its sequel Aliens A Quiet Place For an intellectual sci-fi alien movie (not monsters): Arrival (with Amy Adams) For solid fun: Stargate. This movie set off a 10 season tv show and two others shows with different types of aliens involved, including the Greys (though no greys in the movies, as it's based on Egyptian history).
