YT EDIT BLACK HAWK DOWN (2001) | MOVIE REACTION | FIRST TIME WATCHING

Comments

Another movie that must get mentioned is tears of the sun

MovieMagician

So Orlando Bloom's movies both won and lost.

Karen Silvera

That's another great movie! The Fighting Sullivans would be a great reaction.

Karen Silvera

And he also directed Bladerunner, just putting it out there😁!

Troy

Another great war movie is Zero Dark Thirty. It's about the hunt for Osama Bin Laden. It's a great movie. Another war movies you would also like is 12 Strong. Also, it's more of an espionage movie, you two would like the movie Body of Lies from 2008. It's a very underrated movie! You two would like it very much.

Troy

The next military movie you guys should watch is Pearl Harbor it’s really good but sad and that same actors is in that

Dakota Kratzer

The Last of the Mohicans, or United 93.

norms

Great choice! Hopefully you guys can get to movies like - Warrior,

norms

React to Rounders

Shutter Crazy

Right thanks for correcting my mistake

Karl Kraus

Yeah Jason Isaacs who played Lucius Malfoy in the Harry Potter series

Casey Salley

Well, I personally feel for Amber alot more than Jordan I care for her heart and how it fares when watching war movies, the things that she explicitly said scare her You can sat the shoe is on the other foot but... it's still hard to watch Amber like that

Karl Kraus

Having seen how Amber likes giving Jay flack during scary movie season, I don't feel that all that bad for her. 😉

Robert Greffey

Good one to honor the vets. Though I was secretly hoping you might to 1917, you can get that one another time. Definitely one to put on your watch list. One thing I learned at military academy is that I'd make a lousy soldier, so I have great respect for the men and women who do choose to put their lives on the line in service of our country. Not just those that lose their lives, but those who have their lives changed forever coming home with wounded bodies or wounded minds. Here's to hoping for a day where all our soldiers have bare right shoulders, but until then, I'm grateful for their service. I'm glad you folks were impressed with director Ridley Scott's work, and hoping you check out more by him. He's got a few classics to his name I'm guessing you've heard of. If I had to pick his three most iconic and often suggested works, they would probably be: Alien (1979) Bladerunner (1982, though I recommend The Final Cut remaster from 2007) Gladiator (2001)

Robert Greffey

As a point of note, Saving Private Ryan WAS based off true events but only by story and premise All characters were fictional The situation of grabbing Ryan in the middle of war because of his brothers getting KIA is attributed to the same thing that happened to the Sullivan family There were five brothers from that family that served on a Navy ship, the USS Juneau and it was sunk when it was torpedoed in the Pacific during battle The military made it so that not more than one member of a family is to serve in the same unit or station while active and if only one surviving sibling of a family serving is left, that person is to be immediately discharged, to keep that family name alive

Karl Kraus

And Jordan, I respectfully wish you stop torturing Amber by orating the graphic horrors going on in front of her LOL She can process it her own way Sometimes, your dynamic cracks me up I love that about you guys

Karl Kraus

If the Lord of the Rings wasn't around in 2001, THIS movie would've won the Academy Award for its cinematography It did win for editing however

Karl Kraus

The director, Ridley Scott, made some extraordinary movies in his career across different genres: sci-fi, historical fiction and war He made Alien in the 70s, which made him a household name in the industry and then in 2000, the year before BHD came out, he made Gladiator, the movie that reinvigorated the stories that are set in ancient civilizations, like Rome When the holidays are over and 2024 is underway, I want you to see Gladiator as soon as you can It'll make you cry and feel in awe by what you see It'll crack your top 10 list easily

Karl Kraus

There was an actor from Saving Private Ryan that was in this movie, Tom Sizemore, who played the Colonel that oversaw the operation on the ground He unfortunately passed away earlier this year in March suffering from a brain aneurysm He was born to play gritty roles like this

Karl Kraus

There are some cast members who you've seen before in other movies but didn't recognize Orlando Bloom (Lord of the Rings - Legolas) is Blackburn Ewan McGregor (Star Wars - prequel Obi-Wan) is Grimes Jason Isaacs played the officer that was mocked by a grunt in the beginning

Karl Kraus

Yes! I was hoping you'd choose this! This is a unique movie because it's one that takes place in the 90s and not concerning a major war across the globe but one specific region, plus it's a true story and the way that the cinematography makes it look like hell on Earth documentary style is just so special It looks like Saving Private Ryan... almost When I first saw this 10 years ago, I never thought this was ever going on in a region of the world where society was barely being developed over there Life is full of surprises, I guess, good and bad

Karl Kraus

This movie has a great cast! Erica Bana (Hoot) and Orlando Bloom (Todd Blackburn) play Hector and Paris in “Troy”, would love to see your reaction to that. Tom Hardy (Twombly) comes out in “Inception” a great sci-fi movie, which also has a great cast. Jason Isaacs (Steele) comes out in “The Patriot” another movie you should watch. And Ewan McGregor (Grimes) comes out in Tim Burton’s “Big Fish”….so many more suggestions from the rest of the cast, but for now these are ones I would love to see y’all react to. And then there’s Ridley Scott, one of the top directors…I’d suggest “Gladiator” for his next movie.
