My Mom and Dad actually discovered your channel before I did. I went through a lot of stuff on a personal level in the past year. There were many days and nights when I felt lost and you both have always been there to make me smile and remind me of the importance of making someone smile every day. I play and write music and last summer I started writing songs for the first time in years. I had a lot of things to say and I’ve been making demos. 2023-11-23 06:35:24 +0000 UTCJack Lemmon and Walter Matthau had been paired once before, but I think it's The Odd Couple (1968) that ended up making them a hit comedy duo who ended up starring in ten films together. This probably ranks as their second most beloved films together. Both are good dramatic actors who have the comedic sense to play a funny script. If you haven't seen the original 1976 The Bad News Bears, you should fix that to see Matthau shine on his own. Essential classics with Jack Lemmon would be Some Like it Hot (1959 with Marilyn Monroe and Tony Curtis) and The Apartment (1960 with Shirley MacLaine and Fred MacMurray). Burgess Meredith is indeed Mickey from Rocky, and is a wonderful character actor, but since I'm a guy of a certain age, he'll always be The Penguin the 60's Batman re-runs. I think we last saw Daryl Hannah in Steel Magnolias, but I think the film featuring her best that I most often see requested here is Splash (1984 with Tom Hanks). Being a sci-fi nerd, I always liked her creepy performance in Blade Runner. Wishing for a good Thanksgiving to all the Rob Squad Family.
