2023-11-28 17:47:41 +0000 UTCJames and the Giant Peach is a very respectable movie with an insanely good cast: Miriam Margolyes as Sponge and Glowworm (Professor Sprout in Harry Potter movies), David Thewlis as Earthworm (Professor Remus Lupin in Harry Potter movies), and Richard Dreyfuss as Centipede (Hooper in Jaws)...to name but a few.

2023-11-28 03:02:25 +0000 UTC♥♥ Neverending story is also great book, but the book is much longer. This movie is the first half of the book. They made parts II and III, but I don't suggest them. They aren't very good. Better to read the book. I've seen James and Giant Peach. It was ok for me, probably fell a little flat, but still interesting. Jay would probably get something out of it. It's similar in style, stop motion, (and by the same people) who did Nightmare Before Christmas, so it got a lot of run that way. To add to your Fantasy options next time, consider adding Dark Crystal (not sure if you've seen this). Great for kids and adults, and the 'piece de la resistance' for Jim Henson and Jim Henson studios. Really excellent movie all around. Also playing on the themes of the Light and Dark side of each of us. Also, Ladyhawke. I saw this as a young adult with my dad, one of his favorite movies, and I still enjoy it today. A movie we would watch anytime it came on. Michelle Pfeifer, Rutger Hauer, and Matthew Broderick (Ferris Bueller). I think you both would really enjoy this.

2023-11-27 21:31:49 +0000 UTCJames and the Giant Peach is a cult classic Disney movie from the 90s and it's one that any 90s kid should've seen many times when they were a kid, like me and Amber It's a story that's from the man who wrote Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (or as you saw earlier this year, WILLY WONKA and the Chocolate Factory) You'll enjoy it Jay it has a creepy atmosphere but you'll enjoy some relatable characters I hope you'll get convinced to watch soon
