Loved your reaction and the fact you were able to view this one. I was 11 and my sister was 2 years older when we went to see this with BioMom when it was first released. It was raining that day in Flagstaff, Arizona (we lived in a small town 32 miles west of there, so it was a big undertaking to get that done in those times) and afterward we went to Pizza Hut (was a big deal back then for us). This movie was such a special thing for us growing up and that memory will always stay with me. Unfortunately, this is one of the few "good" moments I can remember as a kid with my BioMom.

Which was also Bastian's mother's name. She would have been born in the sixties, and we did have names like that back then. In that time, it wasn't uncommon to know kids who had names like Rainbow, Sunshine, or the like. It's a very hippy name, but also very pretty and suits the Childlike Empress in my mind.

2023-11-28 02:51:44 +0000 UTCI don't think I have ever seen the whole movie. I remember parts of it, but I am pretty sure I have never sat through the whole thing. I have made a point of only watching the movies you watch that I have seen before, so I may need to sit through this tonight. I know people who swear this is one of the greatest movies ever. It never reeled in my interest. I think there are only two movies you have done that I have not already seen so far. Son-In-Law with Paulie Shore is one of them. I was not a big fan of the Weasel. I think he was over hyped back in the day and I had trouble getting through the couple movies of his that I started watching; Encino Man and Biodome, I think. And what was the one where he was on Jury Duty? Maybe I should watch again with fresh eyes. On your other channel you need to do classic album sides. Some music is not fully appreciated until you hear it in the context of the album it was recorded for, and in the order it was on the album. This is true for most Pink Floyd. This is true for the Beatles last albums. This is true for some of The Who. And more.
