Christmas Movie Poll!

Comments

If you are going to pick another one from this poll, "Miracle on 34th Street" would also be a good movie for your kids to watch

Toby Smith

Great Comedies for December: Pink Panther ( 1 &2), Lone Star State of Mind, Undercover Blues, Rat Race, Spaceballs, The Money Pit, See No Evil, Hear No Evil, Snatch, Arthur ( 1 & 2), Stir Crazy, Young Frankenstein, For Christmas movies: All of the Santa Claus movies, Trading Places, Home Alone( all of them), My Blue Heaven, The Hangover (3 movies in the series)

Well said

You did spoil it for them, I'm pretty sure they're not going to IMDB for every movie they watch, They're trying to watch these movies blind, not knowing anything about it. If you don't like it fine, quit trying to spoil it for new viewers, which I'm a hundred percent sure they're going to love. And I predict there will be some tears at the end.

David Diesbourg

What the film is about is fine, but giving away the near ending is not cool.

Cody Price

FYI... IMDB literally says the entire plot, so if theY looked at the description they would know it anyway. So blame IMDB.

Megan Moore

Also on IMDB it literally says the entire plot, so if the looked at the description they would know it anyway. So blame IMDB.

Megan Moore

I didn't spoil anything, it's literally the same plot as all the Christmas Carol movies minus the suicide part. And the plot of the movie has been discussed on a ton of other Tv shows, Movies and all social media outlets, it would be impossible for them to not know anything about the movies. I knew exactly what the movies was about 10 years before I finally watched it.

Megan Moore

WARNING: Someone left spoilers down below about one of the films. I would advise not reading the comments until you watch these films on the poll. I respect that the person has their own opinion and they are entitled to it, but don’t give away the near ending to a film.

Cody Price

I know it is not on the list but please please take the time to watch Last Holiday with Queen Latifa and LL Cool J. Great movie with a great storyline.

Mary Alice

I definitely would too!

Casey Salley

Actually shocked not to see Christmas Vacation on the poll.

Casey Salley

Love that one! And even better since it has Steve Martin in it. But it references so many old films, they might not get it.

Casey Salley

I don’t have the posting issue but definitely the scrolling issue. Very annoying

Casey Salley

My thoughts exactly. Taking place during Christmas does NOT make it a Christmas movie. My husband and I always have this discussion when he says Gremlins is a Christmas movie.

Casey Salley

Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid.

Christopher Puttre

Why would you spoil a movie they have never seen? You don't care for it. That's fine, and all that needs to be said.

Christopher Puttre

It would be fun if they did a month of black and white films.

Kristin D

Programming/fixing bugs is done by priority, so the comments thing is probably very low priority.

Kristin D

IMO It's a Wonderful Life is so overrated! And it's actually a lot darker than people seem to remember. Essentially it's about a guy who has to be convinced that he shouldn't kill himself. Meaning, if the goats hadn't come and shown him why he is important to the people in his life, he would have jumped off that bridge and well... End of movie! LOVE ACTUALLY it's my favorite, it's so happy and heartwarming. But if that can't win the poll I'd rather you watch Die Hard 2 before Wonderful Life. Go ahead and come at me with all your snipes, insults and hatred, it won't change the way I feel.

Megan Moore

Not really liking the choices , Great Comedies for December: Pink Panther ( 1 &2), Lone Star State of Mind, Undercover Blues, Rat Race, Spaceballs, The Money Pit, See No Evil, Hear No Evil, Snatch, Arthur ( 1 & 2), Stir Crazy, Young Frankenstein, For Christmas movies: All of the Santa Claus movies, Trading Places, Home Alone( all of them), My Blue Heaven, The Hangover (3 movies in the series)

The reply thing happens, to me, but I don't write a second reply, I just refresh the page and my first reply that seemingly just disappeared after I hit the reply button, shows up.

There’s a movie that is a Christmas Movie.. you guy need to watch it.. it’s called The Family Stone … there are a couple big stars in it , it’s a story about a family at Christmas it’s very funny at times , very serious at times , and very sad at times .. I know the both of you will love it .

Ed Littner

They love vintage things, especially Amber

Karl Kraus

...and laugh, and probably elicit an omg or three. It's a full package.

BRT

I have the issue with scrolling for replies. The posting issue i've had on other sites....may need to clear cache to solve that one. I don't have enough resources to be multitasking on one device while trying to watch a film. If it's uncut I run the reaction on my phone and the sync film on something larger.

BRT

You’ve got to watch It’s a Wonderful Life… and Miracle on 34 th Street is also a good one . A family favorite of ours is White Christmas … it brings tears to our eyes for special reasons but I know you’ll enjoy it .

Ed Littner

Comedies: Four Christmases, Gremlins, National Lampoons Christmas Vacation,

Chantal

It’s a Wonderful Life is a must see. I know it’s an older movie and in Black and White but I think you will love it!

Mary Alice

We might as well say Iron Man 3 is a Christmas movie no one seems to care about the distinction of movies TAKING PLACE DURING Christmas it's so frustrating and annoying

Karl Kraus

I'm not wanting to be a Debbie-downer, but is anybody else experiencing really weird issues with Patreon? When I receive a notification that somebody replied, I have to scroll through the entire list and try to find my comments manually. When I reply to a comment my replies don't post, then when I rewrite it and it's worded a little differently I hit post then it pops up with the previous wording. Also, when I watch the movie if I'm doing any other stuff on my tablet, it will glitch out and freeze up so I have to close out and reload the movie and refind my my spot. I have contacted support about having to look for the comments manually, and I have sent them a screen recording. Their reply was that it's a glitch on their end but they have no idea when they're going to fix it. I want to continue supporting you through Patreon but my patience is going to give out here shortly.

Mairn

I absolutely love A Christmas Carol! I watch some version of it every Christmas Eve. I don't think I've watched the George C. Scott one in a while. I will this year!

Mairn

I don't associate Die Hard (and sequels) with Christmas.

Kristin D

I just saw The Bishops Wife a few weeks ago. Very very good movie!! I think it would be right up their alley.

Kristin D

Muppet Christmas Carol A Christmas Carol -George C. Scott The Bishop's Wife -Cary Grant Polar Express

Carolyn Phelan

Even Bruce Willis says "Die Hard" is NOT A Christmas movie. Is a movie worth watching. Very entertaining. Watch at a different time to make room for other more Christmasy movies.

Carolyn Phelan

Merry Christmas Movie House, Merry Christmas Emporium, Merry Christmas you Old dusty Building and Loan.......A Very Merry Christmas to Everyone.

Christopher Puttre

I still think you should do a double feature. I’m glad it’s a wonderful life is getting the biggest number so far but I’d also like to see you react to miracle on 34th St., 1947 black-and-white some of us old people would like to enjoy the classics with you I know I can’t speak for everybody but I know I would.

Thomas Horton

I'm not the biggest fan of It's a Wonderful Life. Miracle on 34th Street (the original) is a classic and such a wonderful film. I'm going to have to vote for Die Hard since that gets us one step closer to the third installment, which is my favorite. At some point we're going to have to get Long Kiss Goodnight on this list. It's a Christmas in the same vein as Die Hard plus Geena Davis and Samuel L. Jackson totally kick butt together!

Tracy Geier

This is my all time favorite Christmas movie and I'm so glad other people appreciate it

Tracy Geier

I freaking love that movie! I watch it ever year and it still cracks me up!

Tracy Geier

Watching Die Hard 2 gets us a step closer to third installment which is my favorite one.

Tracy Geier

Its a wonderful life....The best Christmas movie of all time...and great movie for all times...A bucket list movie for sure...

Edwin Moreno

It's a Wonderful Life. Jimmy Stewart is a gem! Some other really fun classics with him: • The Shop Around the Corner (another Christmas classic, with a remake You've Got Mail with Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks). • Rear Window (Alfred Hitchcock Thriller) • Harvey (dark comedy about a giant rabbit)

Kristin D

When? I looked through their Christmas movies from last year and I didn’t see it

Casey Salley

Gotta go with It’s a Wonderful Life. Love some Jimmy Stewart. Miracle On 34th St would work too since I also love Maureen O’Hara and Natalie Wood. Natalie Wood also reminds me that you should watch Rebel Without a Cause with her and James Dean.

Casey Salley

No Bad Santa?

Andrew Ramos

“It’s A Wonderful Life” for sure. You will both love it, Amber and Jay. ❤️🎄

Jeff Mills

They did

Elizabeth Franco

It’s a Wonderful Life definitely but I won’t be upset if Miracle on 34th Street wins as long as it’s the original with Natalie Wood.

Elizabeth Franco

You gotta go with Its A Wonderful Life. Pure classic that so much was derived from (though it was derived from A Christmas Carol). But you should switch gears and watch the new-classic horror- comedy, Krampus.

RC Romero

Life or Love? I chose "Love Actually" but "It's a Wonderful Life" is also a good one.

Shirley Durr

What about National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation?

Ginny Vann

Either miracle on 34th street or it’s a wonderful life. Just do both of them!

John

Miracle on 34th Street from 1947. It is a classic. A must see

DANIEL LONEWOLF

They will looooove Love Actually.

Stephanie Wahl

It won't let me vote. I chose it's a wonderful life. OK, now it did.

Karen Silvera

So torn between It's a Wonderful Life and Love Actually! But in the end I had to go with It's a Wonderful Life. It is arguably the Christmas GOAT.

Mairn

I was so torn the classic, It's a Wonderful Life, or what is becoming a Christmas tradition for me, Love Actually. Then Miracle on 34th Street is a classic also. Ugh, so many good choices. If you do Miracle, make sure it is the Natalie Wood version.

Trina Smith-Patterson

I love all of these! Another fun holiday movie is The Family Stone.

Jennifer Sanchez

It's a Wonderful Life will make you cry it has to be watched regardless it'll be a perfect Christmas Eve movie

Karl Kraus

It's a wonderful life, if you haven't seen it yet, is a must watch. Holiday classic. I would love it if you did a black and white/classic Hollywood movie once a month ❤️

We'reAllMadHere

One that’s not on your list but is great: “Mixed Nuts”. It stars Steve Martin, Rita Wilson, Madeline Kahn, Adam Sandler and a whole bunch of other really funny people. I doubt it would win a poll, but maybe check it out on your own sometime. Very funny movie!
