I don't usually suggest movies but here are a few.
An Affair to Remember, the original is good. I like the remake better.
Roman Holiday, classic.
My Fair Lady, for a classic musical and another dose of Audrey Hepburn.
American President

A rom-com I'd like to see you do a reaction to is Seeking a Friend for the End of the World. It will tickle your music fancy too!

J asked who’s singing. The song is called Stand by your Man. The singer is Tammy Wynette. She was once married to George Jones.

A slightly older “rom com” although it was more of an homage to the screwball comedies of the 30s-50s is director Peter Bogsonavich’s 1973 classic “What’s Up Doc”. Starring Barbra Streisand and Ryan O’Neal. Hilarious movie lots of laugh out loud moments. And a climactic chase scene that rivals many action pictures. I think You’d both really enjoy. And Barbra does sing a little.

I'll echo the recommendations for You've Got Mail. And now you'll get The Godfather references in it. Director Nora Ephron (who was the writer for When Harry Met Sally) re-teamed with Hanks and Ryan to make another good one. Also as noted, it's an updated telling of The Shop Around the Corner, a solid flick to watch if you want the original and classic take on the tale.
As for Jay and rom-coms, I think it may be he just has never given them the chance. But there's also the factor that we, your patrons, subscribers, and viewers, are curating the best for you with our recommendations. The best films of any type tend to reach beyond the fanbase of a particular genre because a good story well told is entertaining no matter the genre. I'm not a fan of "westerns" on the whole, but I love High Noon, The Unforgiven, True Grit and more because they're good movies, not just good westerns.

Amber, I LOVE 50 First Dates...I've been a Drew Barrymore fangirl forever. You guys already reacted to The Wedding Singer which was my favorite with Barrymore and Sandler. Another great romcom that features Drew Barrymore is Never Been Kissed.

The Money Pit is hilariously funny! Early Tom Hanks are his best comedic performances

Another good Romcom that I feel is underrated is Return to Me. It’s with David Duchovny from Xfiles and Mini Driver from Good Will Hunting.

Agreed that You’ve Got Mail is a great movie! Amber, you do not have an ugly laugh; it’s a wonderful laugh! An Affair to Remember is a great tear jerker of a movie, so please add it to your list. Mr. J, please keep opening your mind to other kinds of films. I’m proud of you! A fun fact is that the diner scene from When Harry Met Sally after Meg mimics a fake orgasm, has the older woman who tells the waiter she wants what Meg Ryan is having is actually Rob Reiner’s mother. Rob Reiner directed Sleepless In Seattle.
I also recommend, Dead Men Don’t Wear Plaid with Steve Martin. The way scenes from classic B&W movies is woven into a very funny comedy.

The woman who played his sister is Tom Hanks real life wife. The little girl is the same one that was in "Field of Dreams"

This is a good movie, but I think You've Got Mail is the best rom-com between Ryan and Hanks. If you watch You've Got Mail, which I whole heartedly request, it might be fun to watch The Shop Around the Corner and then watch You've Got Mail (which is a modern day remake). Both are fun movies. But if you only watch one of these, go with You've Got mail.
I humbly request a French Kiss watch. Meg Ryan and Kevin Kline. This is one of our top two favorite modern rom-coms, right along side Overboard. French Kiss is funny, not sappy.
