I’m surprised Clue doesn’t have more votes. There’s nothing like it. Mystery, hilarious, clever, confusing, timeless. It’s a hidden treasure.

2023-06-11 21:04:10 +0000 UTCAbsolutely I really don't tell what not to watch but this is one I know will be very offensive to them.
Lisa Rhodes
2023-06-11 18:25:07 +0000 UTCAgree on Pulp Fiction. If you thought Saturday Night Fever was tough to watch, you won't make it through Pulp Fiction.

2023-06-11 14:31:29 +0000 UTCA suggestion to add, the 1959 comedy classic “Some Like it Hot” with Marilyn Monroe, Tony Curtis, and Jack Lemmon.
Mark Lasswell
2023-06-11 13:15:52 +0000 UTCthey said it's the original
Karl Kraus
2023-06-10 04:37:23 +0000 UTC100% agree on this take Pulp Fiction IS art no question but it's one of acquired taste, one with a strong stomach Amber has a fragility when it comes to heavy sequences and this one has A TON, almost the entire runtime as a matter of fact She said she doesn't want death and gore for a while and this is littered with it
Karl Kraus
2023-06-10 04:33:43 +0000 UTCHarlem Nights is a classic of comedy! Eddie was a great watch, though I say that as a long suffering Knicks fan... Boys on the Side was very good as well.
Fomsie
2023-06-09 02:55:35 +0000 UTCBut Karate Kid has a remake by the same name. I bet we are voting on the original here.
Jay Perry
2023-06-09 02:06:24 +0000 UTCI always liked Sister Act 2 more than 1. Maybe its because I am a teacher.
Naturekitty5309
2023-06-08 20:28:13 +0000 UTCWizard of Oz is a classic. Labyrinth is one of my all time favorites. All the rest are good and you should watch as you have time

2023-06-08 18:00:16 +0000 UTCClue all the way!!!! But sad to see Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure didn’t make the list
Thomas Porter
2023-06-08 17:58:23 +0000 UTCI’m sad that Philadelphia is getting such a low number of votes. But I kind of understand it is very difficult and real situation To deal with and I was a sobbing mess at the end during the credits.

2023-06-07 21:51:45 +0000 UTCNo love for Cinderella Man? One of the most underrated sports movies of all time. It's everything you love about Rocky but it's actually a true story. Also, we need to get 'Unforgiven' on a vote list at some point.
Brad West
2023-06-07 21:34:29 +0000 UTCI LOVE Pulp Fiction, but I'd agree with Lisa here, having seen nearly all of your reaction videos to parts of certain movies that are too violent or otherwise hard to watch, doubtful you'd enjoy it as a movie to react to...you should watch it on your own at some point though.
Brad West
2023-06-07 21:32:50 +0000 UTCAgreed, at least on "Schindler's List". I saw it. I think everyone should. It is some powerful filmmaking about important history. But I have no desire to ever watch it again. It's a bit much, and should be given the topic. I'll still watch the reaction, though.🤨
Robert Greffey
2023-06-07 20:53:08 +0000 UTC"Coach Carter" with Samuel L. Jackson is also a decent entry into the Teacher Has Positive Influence on Underprivileged Inner City Kids genre. Perhaps not as solid as "Stand and Deliver", but not bad. Liked it better than "Freedom Writers", anyway.
Robert Greffey
2023-06-07 20:45:01 +0000 UTCGreat suggestion and thank you I knew there was a great movie about teacher in a tough inner city school turning kids lives around and getting them off the streets. I knew it was Edward James Olmos but couldn’t think of the name of the picture.
Geoff Thomas
2023-06-07 20:14:30 +0000 UTCI don't think I've seen Mr. Holland Opus, but the descriptions of what it is make it sound interesting. It also reminds me of another movie with Edward James Olmos in Stand and Deliver, which is based on a true story of a math teacher and his influence on would-be dropouts. Great movie to consider.

2023-06-07 19:35:47 +0000 UTCExcellent recommendation!

2023-06-07 19:24:15 +0000 UTCPlease consider watching Atomic Blonde!
David Croft-Ogawa
2023-06-07 19:21:32 +0000 UTCFWIW I suggested “Clue” for its humor, “Karate Kid” for its underdog story, and “Mr. Holland’s Opus” because it’s about music and how a great teacher can inspire their students to love music.
Jeff Mills
2023-06-07 19:12:41 +0000 UTCDefinite NO NO NO on Pulp Fiction you will Not Like the graphics of a TARENTINO MOVIE THERE IS RAPE scene , Sodomizing , DRUGS AND a lot of VIOLENCE IN THIS ONE( MAJOR) YOU WILL NOT LIKE IT . I THINK WE TOLD YOU THIS THE LAST TIME IT WAS ON THE LIST. IF YOU WANT TO DO A TARENTINO MOVIE, DO DEATH POOF . Clue is a ode to the game which is good . The Wizard of OZ is a Classic MUST SEE for everyone. You Want to do action JOHN WICK 1 excellent . "Labyrinth" has David Bowie in it . Sorry but I feel Pulp Fiction is not a good movie for you to watch just by the reactions to the other movies I have seen you react too. I know you will find it very offensive.
Lisa Rhodes
2023-06-07 05:08:23 +0000 UTCI like this poll. A fun way to do this.
Brian
2023-06-07 04:04:05 +0000 UTCThe Sister Act movies are a definite must for these two!
Fuiono Ching Sung
2023-06-07 02:59:42 +0000 UTCMaybe you could look at how these movies rank and watch them in order of votes. Watch them all but maybe one a week pick the next one in order. Type them into a speadsheet then sort by number of votes. Or eliminate the bottom 3-5. I keep hoping "Charade" makes it to your list. A great whodunit by two of the classiest movie stars: Cary Grant and Audrey Hepburn.
Carolyn Phelan
2023-06-07 01:14:13 +0000 UTCOh, I am so sorry you had to go through that. Agreed about more comedians here. I would also love to see them react to both Sister Act films. So funny, and I think Jay and Amber would adore them.
Raven Dark
2023-06-07 01:04:30 +0000 UTCMe too. That brilliant, fast, and hilarious mind is sorely missed. Memory loss from different causes all suck! Big time! My Dad died from Alzheimer's in 2005. Seeing him disappear day by day was excruciating so I certainly don't judge Robin at all. There was an Inside of the Actors Studio with Robin Williams that makes me laugh so I cry and makes my sides hurt. Now that's something our 'hosts' should react to - comedians.
Karen Silvera
2023-06-07 01:01:47 +0000 UTCIt would be a shame if, as educators, they didn’t at some point react to Mr. Holland’s Opus. Besides the fact that it’s a great story and an amazing performance by one of the generations finest actors.
Geoff Thomas
2023-06-07 00:33:04 +0000 UTCYou know, that's why when I put that MHO isn't based on a true story, I added "I don't think" because part of me thought it might be. That explains why it feels so much like one. Love Robin Williams so much. He's one of the few celebs whose death actually made me cry.
Raven Dark
2023-06-07 00:24:03 +0000 UTCAt least 100 times in a lifetime. Lol
Karen Silvera
2023-06-07 00:10:55 +0000 UTCRichard Dreyfuss is amazing in Mr Holland's Opus.
Karen Silvera
2023-06-07 00:08:32 +0000 UTCThey're good. One watch it's enough to last a lifetime IMO.
Karen Silvera
2023-06-07 00:06:55 +0000 UTCClue isn't going to win. But it is a classic must watch.
Amy Silknitter
2023-06-07 00:05:59 +0000 UTCPerhaps instead narrowing it down after the top 10, maybe just watch them. Given the list so far, they are all good movies. Most of them I think you'll enjoy. Some are gut wrenching, some are very entertaining and satisfying, others fun and uplifting. I don't know how well you are going to like Pulp Fiction. It will be a good indicator whether or not you like Tarantino. Like others said, Schindler's List is very emotional intense and draining. Make sure you have something happy going on afterwards or the next day, and watch something upbeat for your follow-up, like Karate Kid or Mrs. Doubtfire.
Kristin D
2023-06-07 00:05:14 +0000 UTCI completely agree with you about Shindler's list and Philadelphia. I'd add Pulp Fiction and Braveheart big time. I think they'd like Mr Holland's Opus (it is based on a true story BTW) Dead poets society and Good Will Hunting because they're educator related. Also - Good Will was written and stared Ben Affleck and Matt Damon as their first Hollywood movie. They won the academy award and they were kids! Crazy talented. And of course it's got Robin Williams in it (as does Dead Poets).
Karen Silvera
2023-06-07 00:04:17 +0000 UTCOh wow, what a list!!! Love it! Lots of great choices, but difficult choices to choose just 3. For future polls please consider adding these: 1. Hidden Figures (based on a true story) 2. The Hunger Games Trilogy ( its 4 movies that you have to watch all 4 to complete the story. I would also highly recommend the books!) 3. Coal Miner's Daughter ( Loretta Lynn) 4. The Martian ( Matt Damon) 5. Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure ( a young Keanu Reeves, pur comedy) 6. Walk The Line (Johnny Cash) 7. Sleepless In Seattle 8. Fugitive (Harrison Ford) 9. Die Hard 3 Die Hard with a Vengeance (Bruce Willis and Samuel L Jackson) 10. Die Hard 4, Live Free or Die Hard. 11. ELVIS 2022
Jayce
2023-06-07 00:04:17 +0000 UTCMy vote is to watch each of them over the next few months. There are some outstanding films on this list and everything else is well worth watching.
Kevin
2023-06-06 23:45:21 +0000 UTCMe. LOL
Raven Dark
2023-06-06 23:44:11 +0000 UTCOof. All of them? *Whine* Can't I just pick them all? This poll is impossible, you two. You're not playing fair. LOL Okay, all joking aside, there are a small handful of movies on here I don't really care for (still probably good films, but just aren't my thing), but most of these I love, and was super hard to pick only three. Also some of these movies are hard watches. If you thought Green Mile was hard, Schindler's List is much, much harder. You'll be glad you saw it, but you'll probably never want to see it again. If Schindler's List and Philadelphia both happen to win, don't watch them back to back. They're both emotional films, and you'll want a break between them. I'd suggest something like Pretty Woman and/or Karate Kid in between. I'd love, love, love to see a reaction to Mr. Holland's Opus from you two. Great movie. Not a true story (I don't think) but it feels like it could be. Honestly, every movie on here you should see at least once. Even the ones I didn't care for. Looking forward to seeing what wins.
Raven Dark
2023-06-06 23:41:46 +0000 UTCYes, The Hunger Games Trilogy, lol, even the it's 4 movies. It's a great franchise.
Jayce
2023-06-06 23:36:10 +0000 UTCI think Clue is such a good movie! It is definitely a favorite. A good, goofy,cwho-dun-it murder mystery with lots of good laughs! I would definitely recommend it!
Derrick Lewis
2023-06-06 22:52:56 +0000 UTCAlso a good point in hindsight, they were not as hard as List some were fiction and the others were stories that had true events as the premise or had dramatic license taken this movie isn't like that at all so, i agree with that statement as well here's to hoping everything will go smoothly in the reaction
Karl Kraus
2023-06-06 22:42:33 +0000 UTCI agree it is an excellent movie. Tom Hanks and Denzel Washington are excellent. My intent is that the films i mentioned are heart wrenching or pretty violent. They would be hard to watch back to back
Carolyn Phelan
2023-06-06 22:24:37 +0000 UTCGreat idea guys should be interesting quite a diverse field.

2023-06-06 22:03:49 +0000 UTCPhiladelphia is a good fit for this month in my opinion.
I am Jussina
2023-06-06 22:02:09 +0000 UTCI would say five of these films are very heavy to watch. They take a strong heart to view. I would not recommend watching them back to back. "Philadelphia", "Pulp Fiction", Schindler's List", "Bravehart" and "Troy". I am not putting them down as bad films, just intense subject matter. Outstanding films.
Carolyn Phelan
2023-06-06 21:55:07 +0000 UTCI recently saw a poll of the all time grossing franchise films: The top five were: Marvel Universe, Spiderman, Lord of the Rings, Batman and James Bond. Not sure who conducted this, but I have searched other franchise lists and Marvel tops every list. When you decide to watch try to watch in order of their release. "Hunger Games" is another of the fantasy series you might enjoy, The books were excellent as well.
Carolyn Phelan
2023-06-06 21:46:36 +0000 UTCThe movie "Mr. Holland's Opus" is such a phenomenal picture and Richard Dreyfuss scores big time. Honestly, I know "Wizard of Oz" is a classic musical but I hope you find time to watch this story of man who has a dream of being a famous composer of serious music. His 'fallback' job is being hired as a HS Band teacher. He feels it is beneath him teaching kids who don't care like he does. It spans the music of three generations. Sometimes things happen for a reason in our lives and we have trouble seeing that.
Carolyn Phelan
2023-06-06 21:40:10 +0000 UTCI totally agree. Great movie.
Cheryl
2023-06-06 20:53:15 +0000 UTCOk, done. I stopped thinking what if like to see and answer based on what you'd like to see. There's a couple that are tough watches.
Karen Silvera
2023-06-06 20:32:17 +0000 UTCThis is WAY too hard you two! Jeez they're all good. I'll try. But you 2 need to watch all of these eventually. That's my only coviat. 😊
Karen Silvera
2023-06-06 20:24:55 +0000 UTCFirst off...Love you guys. I hope we make this an elimination poll. That is the three that win, and theb puts rest up. Some great choices. Hunger games?
Naturekitty5309
2023-06-06 20:17:45 +0000 UTCWell, it's enough on their radar that it ended up on a poll to begin with, so I hardly think it's a lost cause to continue promoting it.
Robert Greffey
2023-06-06 20:06:21 +0000 UTCNot a fan of Tarantino, but Pulp Fiction is probably tied with Jackie Brown as my favorite of his films. Almost voted for it just to get it over with, since I'm sure it WILL happen eventually.
Robert Greffey
2023-06-06 19:56:03 +0000 UTCHmmm. The only one that I'd consider one of my very favorites might be the Wizard of Oz, but still, a strong field of competitors making for a tough choice to just pick 3. I do love the horse race of a good movie poll, so thanks all the same.
Robert Greffey
2023-06-06 19:52:27 +0000 UTCI did leave that suggestion with last poll. Agreed they should watch. More people should, but unfortunately, not enough folks have heard of it.
Robert Greffey
2023-06-06 19:47:16 +0000 UTCYou still need to watch The Hitmans Bodyguard. I recommend it mainly because I know you will love it and it's a great comedy break from the more serious films. The cast is perfect (and phenomenal).
Marc Fewell
2023-06-06 19:32:22 +0000 UTCWrite-in candidate for future poll—Jerry Maguire starring Tom Cruise, Renee Zellweger, and Cuba Gooding, Jr. Sports for Jay and romance for Amber.
JDW
2023-06-06 19:17:46 +0000 UTCMrs. Doubtfire=comedy- Robin Williams Schindlers List=historical, have Kleenex. Amazing movie but really heavy. A few good men- courtroom drama. Karate Kid- teen coming of age so to speak. Wizard of Oz- classic, everyone should see it.
Mary Alice
2023-06-06 19:01:23 +0000 UTCI gotta be honest, I’m 100% with you here. I think it’s just about the best movie on the list, but unfortunately I don’t think enough people know about it. I think Mr. Holland’s Opus is exhibit A for why people love movies. I just wanted to drop you a note of support so you knew you weren’t alone on this. :)
Rollo Tomassi
2023-06-06 18:48:55 +0000 UTCMy top 5 of the above: 1. Wizard of Oz 2. Pretty Woman 3. Mrs. Doubtfire 4. Pleasantville 5. Catch me if you can 6. Pulp Fiction 7. Philadelphia My top recommendations that aren't listed: Whoopi Goldberg movies 1. The Color Purple 2. Sister Act 2. Sister Act 2 3. Corina Corina 4. Eddie (basketball movie) 5. Boys on the side 6. Rat Race Eddie Murphy movies 1. Harlem Nights 2. Beverly Hills Cops 2 (but then stop here, 3 is regarded by all as awful) Tom Hanks movies 1. SPLASH! 2. You've got mail 3. Sleepless in Seattle 4. Cast Away

2023-06-06 18:47:32 +0000 UTCOh man the Abyss would be awesome.
Michael Lynch
2023-06-06 18:47:25 +0000 UTCThe Abyss, Karate Kid, A few good men. Excellent movies.
Michael Lynch
2023-06-06 18:46:44 +0000 UTCSadly, I don't think enough people know what Mr. Holland's Opus is, so I doubt it will make the cut, but it is absolutely a movie that I think would resonate with y'all. It is essentially Music, Teaching, Family and life.
Fomsie
2023-06-06 18:40:07 +0000 UTCI hear ya. I guess I would point out that the other movies you listed had a balance of emotions … lighthearted moments of camaraderie, comedic moments, some action, etc. You mention Saving Private Ryan and, honestly, it felt long for this format, yet it’s almost 30 minutes shorter than Schindler’s List. Anyway, it’s just my subjective thoughts; I appreciate your response.
Rollo Tomassi
2023-06-06 18:33:51 +0000 UTCThanks for the new fun poll! With so many options you shouldn't have (too many) people complaining they don't like any of them. Taste in movies are so varied and diverse and sometimes I choose things not because it's my favorite film of the bunch, but because of the pop cultural references that you'll be able to take away from it.

2023-06-06 18:23:46 +0000 UTCMy top three (in my humble opinion) fit your sensibilities perfectly. Braveheart, A Few Good Men, and the Wizard Of Oz are tailor made for the squad!!!
JL Green
2023-06-06 18:21:34 +0000 UTCI’m going to keep suggesting Million Dollar Baby until you guys watch it too.
Stephanie Wahl
2023-06-06 18:17:47 +0000 UTCIt’s not the best Tarantino entry film. Definitely should watch Tarantino but I’d go for Reservoir Dogs.
Stephanie Wahl
2023-06-06 18:16:05 +0000 UTCYes there's plenty of gore in this one and chaos to boot All of Tarantinos movies are this way, so watch at your own peril
Karl Kraus
2023-06-06 18:15:22 +0000 UTCTrue but they've seen plenty of gruesome and emotional movies already: saving private ryan, the green mile, hacksaw ridge, shawshank, etc. Those were all good practice Plus they said they've been to the holocaust museum so they know what to expect It'll be a wringer for sure but it'll be worth it in the end, seeing a true story l like this

2023-06-06 18:10:40 +0000 UTCLabyrinth! I think you'd get a kick out of it. David Bowie is fantastic. There are a lot of great movies on that list. You two might not be ready for Pulp Fiction
David K
2023-06-06 18:10:36 +0000 UTCWhy poll we you can just asked me?? Been begging for Cinderella Man for a long time now, a criminally underrated movie, and a shocking true story. Of course any human should watch The wizard of Oz at least once in their life.
Shawn McKenzie
2023-06-06 18:07:37 +0000 UTCNo worries! Maybe the least chosen movies can have a poll of their own in the future. They’re all great movies, but some won’t stand a chance against the more popular or epic ones.

2023-06-06 18:02:12 +0000 UTCagreed jon a "who dun it" movie isn't quite going to do well on a poll of any size
Karl Kraus
2023-06-06 18:01:49 +0000 UTCIt didn't quite make my top 3, but I think that you two, as teachers, would really enjoy Mr. Holland's Opus. Richard Dreyfuss turns in an outstanding performance in the title role.
Joanie Archetto
2023-06-06 18:00:52 +0000 UTCi believe so i don't think no one suggested the remake with jackie chan

2023-06-06 18:00:41 +0000 UTCThis is a hell of a poll, how fun! But no “Minority Report” 😢? I saw a few suggestions (aside from mine lol) for it. Next time I guess, at least it’s on your radar now 😊.

2023-06-06 18:00:40 +0000 UTCJust to let you know Karate Kid and Lethal Weapon both part of franchises with films and with Karate Kid films and TV Series that continued the story from the original 3films from the film franchise 30 years later.
Cody Price
2023-06-06 17:59:40 +0000 UTCCan we clarify that this is the original Karate Kid?
Jon
2023-06-06 17:59:19 +0000 UTCNo disrespect intended whatsoever fam, but just a compatibility warning with Schindler’s List and the movie reaction format … it’s a tough, tough match. Schindler’s List is a lonnng movie and the only emotion to react to is sadness … there’s no range of emotion to experience with it. It’s a 3 hour and 15 minute bummer. Important film, but very difficult to do a reaction/watch along to.
Rollo Tomassi
2023-06-06 17:58:33 +0000 UTCYeah, I think they'd love Clue. Afraid it's not going to make it.
Jon
2023-06-06 17:57:27 +0000 UTCI mean, you need to know what you're getting into with Schindler's List. It's very heavy, but essential viewing. Excellent filmmaking all around as well
Jon
2023-06-06 17:55:49 +0000 UTCLots of great options here. You guys DEFINITELY need to get into the Tarantino-verse with Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill 1&2, Inglorious Basterds. Aside from that, Catch Me if You Can is SUCH a great Spielberg + Leo movie.
Kevin
2023-06-06 17:55:01 +0000 UTCAll are really good movies. But I think Jordan as a dad owes it to himself to see The Wizard of Oz 1939 it’s a delightful classic!
