2024-10-09 16:03:56 +0000 UTC'The Exorcist' sticks with you, for sure. I was fairly young when I saw it, but I think it still ranks as the scariest movie I've ever seen. The music (Tubular Bells) makes it particularly creepy.

2024-10-08 23:43:40 +0000 UTCI enjoyed this; I haven't seen it in years. Matthew McGrory played Karl the Giant, who was 7 ft 6 in real life and passed away two years later. Another good movie with Albert Finney, where he plays another Ed, is "Erin Brockovich (2000)" based on a true story. Considering it's coming up on Halloween, why don't you two challenge your nerves to the scariest movie ever made, "The Exorcist (1973)" I prefer the Extended Director's Cut if you can find it.

2024-10-01 23:41:51 +0000 UTC“Life of Pi” is another film with fanciful storytelling. It’s a bit slow in places but, all-in-all, well worth watching. It received 11 Academy Award Nominations in 2012, winning 4 Oscars including Best Visual Effects (They are stunning!). Pi gives us 2 versions of the same story--how he survived being lost at sea for 227 days with a Bengal Tiger named Richard Parker. You get to decide for yourself which version to believe.

2024-09-30 18:49:10 +0000 UTCHadn’t seen the movie enjoyed watching it with you all very much. This was my daughter’s senior play in high school so I saw many performances several years ago. I can recommend many movies but as teachers and parents and just people who want to make a positive impact in the world you really should react to a movie called Mr. Holland’s Opus. Really well written, incredibly acted film will touch you and I think move your hearts in a positive way.
