2024-01-15 18:36:04 +0000 UTCWhat a great reaction, Amber and Jay. Haha, I knew you'd love this one. Like many others here, I highly recommend Sister Act 2. It's one of those rare instances where a sequel equals or even surpasses the original. I love this one, but I love the second even more. There are reasons the second one will resonate with you both, but I won't say why here because it's a spoiler. Make sure you don't look up the plot or anything. Needless to say, I think you will really enjoy it.

2024-01-15 07:29:52 +0000 UTCTo be fair, the current iteration of The Color Purple isn't a remake of the movie version that Whoopi was in (which wasn't a musical) but rather a remake of the Broadway play version of The Color Purple (which was a musical). Both good in their own rights.

In the end it just comes down to wanting to know if these musicals we're so excited for you to see are somewhere on the list even if they aren't next up. Sound of Music, Chicago, Singing in the Rain are all amazing but in very different ways! Can't wait!

Centuries ago, a group of Christian hermits took up residence in caves at Mount Carmel. They evolved into an order of Friars, and later a community of nuns was established too. A few examples of other orders are Franciscan, Benedictine, and Ursuline...and those folks at the casino wouldn't know the the difference between any of them, which is why it's so funny that she specifies "Carmelite".
