Changes/Suggestions?

One of the things I planned initially, was to have tiers for the people who can chose the piece.
At the start I wanted to make it a bit more community based, but looking back, it has taken more time/effort than it should.
So, basically The idea/proposal would be:
- Mix Level 2 and Level 3 into a single tier (Level 2, and be able to see all content.
- Open other 2 limited tiers that can decide the content of the piece of the month
- The Tier A (3-4 slots) (12 USD Per month) would be for a cell shaded piece with up to 2 characters OR 1 smooth shaded, both pieces with one alt. Could also be for a short comic as well... whatever under that budget TBH.
- Tier B (2 slots) is similar, just giving a bigger budget for said ideas.
- These pieces are meant to be the exclusive
- And as well, trying to make the monthly comic
- Bonus drawings like mermay may still happen.
However, not sure if you prefer doing the voting, or would like to suggest something in particular.
Some people have suggested the tier thing before, but ATM thought it was better to do things this way.
I do plan to open a big poll of the multiple options (depending on the proposals I can come up and/or suggestions you give.)

Understandable, one of the main issues with the voting is the time it takes. for me to gather/sort the ideas. If I pick the ideas others give, people may feel rejection and is a way of driving out some people from it. and if I choose from a poll of ideas, well, it might be stuff people doesn't like overall. A possible solution may be to just limit the number of ideas taken to something like 10, but it's the same issue in a way, people that might've been busy will have to wait a month to get their ideas done.

2022-05-15 11:33:30 +0000 UTCWhat inevitably happens is that a few people grab those limited slots and hold them forever. I think it's best to keep commissions separate from Patreon. That said, if you do it, I'd be gunning for one of those slots. Maybe one other option would be to eliminate a phase: either you provide options for the poll and we vote, or we provide patreon requests and you choose what to draw. Then it's only one round instead of one round to submit and one to vote. Could even switch off between them from month to month. Alternatively, one thing I've seen before is that people post ideas and then others heart them in the same thread. Whichever posts got the most hearts then get picked. That has a downside of getting in late means you almost certainly won't be picked, though. But it is faster and gives more control to the community.
